Obviously we are constrained to taking the Lore of Nehekhara on our Hierophant (unless playing Arkhan), but which lore available to TK (Nehekhara, Death, Light) do you find to be the best? This could be on a second level 4 or on a lower level wizard. Consider the question in the context of a non End Times TK army.
Which lore is best? And why? What magic lores do you typically select in addition to the Hierophant? If you could take the Lore of Death or Light on the Hierophant, would you? And if so, which one? Do you have a go to lore or is it dependent on your particular army setup for the game?
Vote and discuss!

I can only comment in regards to what I’ve come up against and it inevitably seems to be lvl 4 lore of Nek’ and then more often than not, light wizards (sometime multiple lower level or a combo of another lvl 4 and some level 1 or 2’s. I’ve not faced Death in a TK list though in fairness I’ve not played that much against them and we rarely use special characters.

So I answered with the notion or caveat that this is for a 2nd lvl 4 or lvl2. To me that's Light - for all the buffs, hands down.

Whenever I have it paired up with Nehekhara or Death, I find I cast Light spells more often than spells from either of the other lores. It's a shame that there isn't an option to have Lore of Light on a Hierophant (like Arkhan and the Lore of Death).

Lore of light, hands down.
Unless playing Arkhan, i will have Nehekhara for what i need, so the other best lore is light. Great buffs and the chance to build a cheap but potent light council

Great buffs and the chance to build a cheap but potent light council How many Light casters do you typically field? Do forgo a level 4 of light for multiple lower level casters? On one side, having multiple low level casters boosts banishment, but on the other, each of those casters has a harder time casting spells from the lore than a level 4 would (and the opponent has an easier time dispelling them).

While I haven't yet had the chance to play TK, I think Light would be very useful as it gives their normally slow Skeletons buffs like Always Strikes First and Initiative 10. In fact this lore gives them an edge over Vampire Counts in that Light spells cast on VC units inflict additional damage while not damaging the Tomb Kings units (because they only affect enemy undead and Daemons). However, Nehekhara resurrects your models so that is also useful as well.

I know how much you hate Vampire Counts, but unfortunately the Lore of Light doesn't give us an advantage over them in terms of lore attribute's additional damage. The TK FAQ reads: Q: Are models with the Nehekharan Undead special rule
Undead? (p28)
A: Yes.

A: Yes.But the attribute only inflicts the extra damage if an enemy unit suffers a number of hits, so those spells will only negatively affect Vampire Counts units in a TK vs VC match - VC can't use Lore of Light as far as I know so the usage of Light gives TK a specific advantage over them with a nice lore that deals extra damage against them as well as buffing TK units without them suffering damage from the lore attribute. Of course TK would suffer the same damage if an enemy army like High Elves or Lizardmen used Light spells on them, but I was talking about specifically TK vs VC matches.

I had misunderstood your previous post. You're correct, the Lore of Light would be an outstanding choice for the TK to use against the Vampire counts!
