Those are looking awesome, Horace! I've been SOOOO tempted by that FW Or Command set for such a long time! I REALLY love that banner! (I suppose I have a thing for great banners.). I can't wait to see them all together on your table top!

I was thinking of going for an evil sunz style bit on the banner but can't decide whether it should be central and kind of all torn up, or offset to the side so you get the full decal
I really like the models, I've been contemplating the Night Goblin one too

Well, depending on how much work you want to put into it, you could make the separate parts obviously from other armies, making them look faded and dirty, then paint a very rough evil sunz logo over the top of all of it. It'd represent all of the armies they've beaten and thematically, it'd encourage other Orc tribes to join their WAAAGH! Kinda the whole point for Orcs even having a battle standard.

I didn't manage to paint anything last month - work, new dog and a large build pile all conspired to stop me. However, I've got some more dwarves primed and ready to go - I'd like to at least get the regular infantry done (5 x Longbeards, 1 x Hammerer) and hopefully my Lord on shieldbearers and Anvil of Doom too. If things go well, perhaps all the AoW characters I've got as well. I've finally got back into my painting rhythm, and managed to finish all of the above! I haven't had a chance to take photos, but I should be able to get them done tomorrow. I even had time to get a test model done for my Savage Orcs, who'll be next month's goal. I haven't done warpaint yet, but it's a quick and easy paint scheme that looks good enough:

In your photo you can see the shifty ungor in the back just eyeing him off getting ready to shoot the Orc in the back.

No problem. Ungors can't hit the broad side of a barn anyway.
That's a great prototype for your Savage Orcs! Are you planning any kind of tattoos on them? It's always something that you can come back to later and do.

He'll probably land an arrow slap bang in the pot of Lahmian Medium!
I think I'm going to use a dark pink for the tattoos (Screamer Pink, which is almost a red), because I like the colour and it's a bit different to the normal red, white or blue. While I love the intricate and neat tattoos that some people paint on them, I don't have the patience or technique for that level of freehand detail, plus I figure I only need to paint it to the same standard that an Orc would actually be able to paint itself with (i.e. not very good at all) to be realistic. A few messy-ish lines either around limbs, or across chest/face should suffice, and then maybe the champion or warboss can have a more intricate design.

Yeah, that was pretty much my approach to mine as well. Lol, I mostly thought about Braveheart when I was painting them up!

I repainted this brute. I like the green warpstone look much more.

And last but certainly not least, my Lord on Shieldbearers, aka King Baradun of Zarakzil:

And this is what I've got completed - as ever, I'll put more images in my Zarakzil thread, as well as a little more commentary. Anvil of Doom (the Runelord isn't new, that was done a while ago): Extra rank and file to bring me to 25 Longbeards/21 Hammerers (3 ranks of 7): A selection of Avatars of War characters: I stuck a Mohawk on this one, so I can use it as Malakai Makaisson when I eventually get a Goblin Hewer: I really like your custom anvil.
