I recently unearthed some archaic WFB models from the depths of my basement and was left wondering how to incorporate them in my nearly complete dwarf army.
A unit such as Long Drong and his slayers I can manage, but what about Doomseekers?
Have any of you taken a stab at converting them for 8th edition use?

I’ve got a few of these too. To be fair you could probably still use the 6th ed. rules for them.

If all else fails you can stick them into Slayer units, possibly as unit fillers.

Great writeup, loved your take on the pirates! your doomseekers are more monster/multi-wound hunters than their original concept as hordebreakers, but I'll give them a spin and see how they work.
Thanks for the replies everyone!

Use them as Doom Seekers. The original Slayer Army from Storm of Chaos is still playable in 8th. I have played a few games with them and they work great. Just use the runes from the 8th ed book, which given the Slayer Skills and Doom Seekers you don't need that many.
The Slayer Army was originally written for the 6th ed book.Gave Thorpe's old 7th ed FAQ for them said to use the list as written with the 6.5 ed Runes. The army transfers over ton8th very well. The Goblin Hewer is beastly for chewing apart hordes, as are Doom Seekers.
