Hey all,
I've recently started a Fangorn army for MESBG (Ents!).
I was wondering if anyone else has played the game?
Oh yeah, I haven't played a game yet - and only know of 2 friends who also play. They live in Wiltshire, I'm in Cardiff lol.

I too have a lot of projects....
I have 50 Dwarfs I need to paint A load of undead to convert in to bretonnians... (60+ zombie peasants, flying black knights for peg knights) And paint the heroes i have already converted... 30 High elf spears, 30 phoenix guard, 10 Dragon Princes and a Dragon
A Bretonnian Warmaster army to paint Necron Epic army to paint A Dwarf Blood Bowl team to paint... A soviet K47/Bolt Action army to re-paint
And Ofc I'm finishing off my Ents for MESBG!
Good to hear it was fun tho - it's a game I'll likely play about once or twice a year. I'm playing my first game in August when I'm going to Wiltshire for the weekend (BBQ, beer, music and games)

I've played the new version once, it's difficult to find people that also play. I found it quite enjoyable though, I took a ridiculously elite Rivendell army with Gil-Galad, Glorfindel, and a Captain plus about 6 basic elves up against nearly 30 Uruk-Hai and a Troll. Game was amazingly close, Gil-Galad and Glorfindel alone slaughtered about 2/3 of the Uruk-hai, but at the end I lost one too many elves and my force broke with the enemy in possession of the relic, giving them the game. Heroes are very powerful in the game, but you definitely need to have enough basic troops otherwise the enemy will overpower you.

Here's the army - 800pts,pretty much complete! Just touch ups here and there needed, which I'll do when I add clump foliage in the future.

I play! Will echo others sentiments though that it's hard to find other people to play the game with.
Which is a shame, because it's probably the best skirmish ruleset that GW has ever made. My favorite game is Mordheim, but my favorite ruleset is MESBG.
I have Minas Tirith, Fiefdoms, Rohan, and Isengard.

I played once or twice back when it was the Hobbit SBG. I've got relatively small armies of high elves, Gondor (fiefdoms) and wood elves (Thranduil) that I've never got around to painting. I got into it as I love the models (and LoTR, of course) - the game looks good, but there's no-one around who plays so it's fallen by the wayside. I've therefore never bothered picking up the new rules.

I do play it, but I use the army selection rules from the pre-February-2012 era, as the post-Feb-2012 Warband selection format was an excuse by GW to get players to buy more heroes. The latest edition looks a bit better as the warbands are more flexible, but I've got too many Fantasy projects to work on at the moment to bother reorganising my Middle Earth stuff just yet.
