Hey there folks. Long time lurker here, this is my first post.
I've just bought a lot of all kinds of Games Workshop miniatures from my colleague. Most of it is fifth edition Warhammer stuff. But some are quite puzzling to me: Pic of the miniatures (just a link, somehow couldn't get the insert image to work)
So I've got: - Dyvim Tvar a GW mini from 1987 - A "Paladin" GW mini from 1985 - A Elric mini, which I'm not even sure is from GW
Any information is appreciated, as this is all "before my time"
I'm probably going to incorporate them into my next project: (re)painting my High Elf army.

Welcome! That Elric (of Melnibone) is GW. They had the license for making miniatures for the Moorcock books in the 80s. You can find him here under 'Elric Prototype'. www.collecting-citadel-miniatures.com/wiki/index.php/Eternal_ChampionDyvim Tvar is from that same range. I am sure you can find him on the link above or the other place to find him is here: solegends.com/citec/index.htmNot sure about the paladin. He might be from the same series or some other GW 80s, dig around in those links. Or if you are on facebook, look up the Oldhammer Trading group. They can tell you more than you ever wanted to know about this stuff.

Thanks for the info Naitsabes. It's cool to see all of these spin-offs in the early days of Games Workshop.
While sifting through the lot I've found the box for the Paladin miniature. It is part of an expansion for Dungeonquest (something I've never heard of), called "Heroes for Dungeonquest". It's basically a set of twelve miniatures and corresponding character charts. The Paladin mini turns out to be "Farendil", an Elf Ranger. I thought as much that it had some features of an Elf, but the chainmail turned me off. Then again it being the early days of GW I'm guessing Elves used to get chainmail as well as their now accustomed scalemail.
