Procrastinating is over, the Arachnarok is complete! The howdah is only balanced on the top. Annoyingly it doesn't seem to fit properly - I can't get all the poles to balance flush with the carapace. I had thought I'd got it to fit flush before painting it, but I may be wrong. Regardless, there's so much going on with the model that it's not really something you notice. As ever, more photos to go in my O&G plog.

This will likely be my lot for the year as after I finish work this evening I’ll be driving all over the country for the compulsory family bits. So these are part of my mums Xmas pressies: Frodo, Sam and Gimli.

I'm very happy with how it turned out. yes, you better! this is a great tree. how did you do the leaves? and well done on the big spider, sedge. I like the understated colors. Thank you kind sir. For the leaves I picked up this great little packet which looks 2 tone from a model railway store not too far away from me. I'd not seen anything looking quite like it at any model/hobby store. The packet is completely flimsy and so I keep it separate in a bag to catch all the spillage. Works a charm with PVA glue. I use multiple applications over several days to make the branches/leaves look fuller as they build up.

I'd like to finish my Eternal Guard unit that I've been working on for a while. 6 left. I'm a slow painter, but I think I can do it. I had 3 successes this month. 1) I'm pleased that I was able to complete the Eternal Guard unit, including the movement tray. I love the way they turned out. 2) I also painted a wizard for the Wood Elf army. He turned out great. See my Wood Elf thread for more pictures. 3) I had time to get some miniatures painted from my copy of Scythe. I got 10 of them finished. I normally feel guilty painting any minis besides Warhammer, but since I went beyond my original goal for the month, I felt I had license to do so. I did not put much time into them, but they are decent enough for a boardgame. The Wolf Man The Tiger Lady
