Ok so hes a fat toad with unbelievable magic abilities. If there was ever an auto-include in any army, its a Slann. He's your Ld10 General AND Battle standard bearer, he's effectively immune from shooting, you can't hit him in combat and he's so magic he'll not have too much bother deflecting any magical attacks that come his way. So, how do YOU deal with the f**ker ?? To me, kind of depends what you're playing. Which army are you pitting against the Lizardmen? (I play Lizards, Ogres, DoC and TKs so hopefully can provide something useful on this)

So when the slam has depleted his temple guards and jumps over to the always so near saurus warriors what rules is no longer helping him? He is still infantry right? so he still get look out roll, shooting cover and but is moved to the first row to easily target in combat?

That is correct. He loses all the benefits of the Temple Guards' Guardians special rule, but retains all the normal benefits a character could enjoy within a unit of the same troop type.
