Wow! That's quite the collection you have there! Nice!
I understand what you mean about groups splintering apart. I live in a college town (Starkville, MS - home of Mississippi State University) so we get a lot of different groups that spring up every year, always interested in a different game. Sometimes, you can get one or two really interested in 8th (mostly because it looks so cool on the table top), but even if they get invested, they'll be gone just as quick, so you find yourself not "trying too hard". There are a few that are "willing" to play 8th at our local game shop, but they are heavily invested in other games too. I usually stick to my close friends to do the majority of my gaming.

Small update. I got distracted this weekend and didnt get everything assembled that I wanted to. Quick question, the model in the front rank is listed as a Reiksguard standard bearer. Im happy with him for the demigryph with lances. Should I convert the standard bearer of the other unit to a halberd with banner?

If you have them as a Halberd unit, then, yeah, I'd probably do that just for consistency. It's not a huge change, so shouldn't be too difficult. It'll give the two units more distinction as well.
Look good though!

Metal glorious metal!
Also yes I think convert the lance to a Halberd for the Halberd demigryph regiment.

I don't know where the piece goes officially. In the SoL pictures it seems to dangle from the chimney, a rather non-sensical spot.
I would definitely put it on the wall. After all riding a tank means you don't have to lug your kit around like a regular grunt.

That is really cool having those Steamtank variants. It took me a while to find them. The hardest varient to get was the implacable. The von zeppel had the hardest single bit to get. Its a small shield and sword. I have no idea where it was supposed to go, so I hung it from the railing. Just curious did anyone ever make rules for the steamtank varients for eighth edition?

Warhammer armies project has a steam tank supplement. Its for "9th edition" which is a ruleset the warhammer armies project guy made up, but i think youl find they will fit for 8th pretty well with minimal alterations.
