New year, new army resolutions! My overall resolution for this year is to completely finish painting my Empire army. I think I'll be able to do it or at least come close. I'll keep my hobby resolution simple, at just that. For this month's challenge, I'll try: Mounted Goblin Great Shaman (I had to throw one together for my game last month and it made me really want to see him painted!) work on my 45 Empire Spearmen (Their performance earned them a paint job!) anything else that hits my fancy.

This year I want my Chaos Dwarfs finished. Should be possible if I don't get too sidetracked. I want to start the year finishing off what I started in December - my Bale Taurus, Lamassu and banners

I am starting a new army this month. I will keep you guessing until I finish the first unit of 20.

My immediate goal is Riotville at the start of March. I still need to get 5 x Boar Boyz, and 5 x Spider Riders painted for that, as well as buying, building and painting 10 more Savage Orcs. However, when painting models I like to paint all of that type at once, so that's another 3 Boar Boyz, plus 5 more Spider Riders. I've also got my Christmas Ogres to finish building as well...
So for this month, it's finish off building the Ogres, and try to get one of the cavalry units complete (not sure which until I pick them up), and make some good progress on the other. I also need to buy the Savage Orcs.
For the year, beyond finishing the O&G list for Riotville, I will probably faff around a bit after that finishing off random half-painted models. I'll then need to pick another army to make some progress on, and knuckle down to work on them. I'm thinking one of Beastmen, Lizardmen or Ogres. All seem relatively simple to do.

Deadcember shall continue! I have a unit of skeletons and two morghasts built and they are staring at me with empty eye sockets waiting for paint. quite unnerving, really.

So many minis on my shelf are lacking paint... I want to do high elves 2020 but before I do that I want my woodies to be more complete. So for January I probably will do: 1 shadow watcher 10 way watchers 10 glade Riders 2 Rangers Hellebron aka Tina Turner
But on my table there is also some chaos dwarfs, lamassu, and war hawk riders, lord on eagle and my forest dragon sisters kit.

I don't normally do these 'Look what I bought' posts, but here is an exception. These are current GW 'Sepulchral Guard' models and they fit in rather well scale wise. And, they don't rock heroic-sized weapons either. I am impressed. Planning on making these into wight kings/BSB and command models. Also pictured is Detlev Polman, Terror of Ingelheim, the necromancer at the center of my undead horde to-be. So hey, that's a hobby update at least.

They look really nice. I think they look nicer than the Grave Guard models and would make good Wights
