Far earlier than expected I've crossed off 4) a piece of scenery. Games Workshop Temple of Skulls. It's a sizeable piece.

Just saw this, planning to complete a 2500 list of Skaven. Already done with 34 plaguemonks, 26 clanrats, 2x WLC, and doomwheel as of December. This year (really by like sept or October if I stay on schedule) I’ll have all 2500pts done which means I need to paint: 102 clanrats/slaves, 35 Stormvermin, 2 Poison wind Mortars, a warpfire thrower, the Hellpit Abomination, a grey seer, 2 warlock engineers, a plague priest, and a chieftain. Edit: I misunderstood Sedge’s plan here. So I’ll be able to accomplish the 1000pts, 40+ infantry, and monster for sure. Not sure about the rest yet Edit 2: my count of clanrats/slaves was way off lol!! Fixed it

I do solemnly pledge that I will seriously consider painting some miniatures this year. Moreover, I promise not to buy too many more miniatures without painting at least some of the ones I already have. By the Lady, I so swear it. I’m all seriousness, today I just picked up some new shelves to display my minis (both painted and unpainted) so they don’t have to live in boxes between games. I’m hoping to eliminate the excuse that I can’t paint because I have no room for storage/set up. With these shelves plus the tool chest I just picked up, perfect for storing paints, brushes, modeling tools, etc, I should be nearly out of excuses...

Now, THIS is a list I can sink my teeth into! I don't even think I can complete it. 😳. Challenge accepted! (But I'm totally counting the areas I've already finished this year.)

Now that's a list, sedge! The last goal made me chuckle.
I am on the road at the moment but will start digging in next week
And like mottdon I will claim the monstrous infantry badge from the morghast unit earlier this year.

I have no idea how I'm going to manage the yellow one. I hate painting that colour (especially as I rarely undercoat anything in white). I'm painting a pair of FW Storm of Magic toads at the moment and one of them would have been a good, easy candidate for that goal, but I'd already started on blue and pink for them

So, I assume certain models that you work on, could qualify you for satisfying more than one goal? Say, you paint a Lothern Sea Helm as your BSB, give him a flaming sword (with special rules), mount him in a Sky Cutter, being pulled by two, baby Flamespyre Phoenixes. So that would satisfy #5, 18, 20, 21, 24, 29, and 39? Or should we go the long route and do one for each?

Absolutely fine for a model to cross off several goals. It's a mini-challenge to see who can cross off the most with a single model!

You might need to explain #42 a bit. You know, *ahem* so everyone else understands.

You might need to explain #42 a bit. You know, *ahem* so everyone else understands. A bit like the banners I did in last months challenge, where you use either greys (steel) or yellow/browns (gold) to paint metallic without using metallic paint. That was my attempt at it anyways, I'm not great at knowing how light falls properly so I just kind of make it up as I go along Nice list though! No way I'm going to manage to check everything on it!

Awesome. I think I can manage something like that. I enjoy pushing myself out of my standby systematic methods of painting!
