Finally took my time and read this tonight... tons of good stuff. Go to page 27. What's the picture? Hobgoblin War Howdah?? If so - what variety of Hobgoblins are those?

wilsonthenarc,
Page 28 describes what the Hobgoblin War Howdah is and how it works in the game. The picture is of an old grenadier giant model - from the collection of the artist, Randy Elliott.

There was one of these for sale on e-bay recently. I want to say it went for roughly 50 pounds.
I have seen this mini in person and it is awesome. It is so heavy that I think the shipping from the UK would have cost more than the mini.

It is so heavy that I think the shipping from the UK would have cost more than the mini. Did it sell for 50 pounds or weigh 50 pounds? I was gonna make mine from a Bones Giant and some 4th Edition Hobgoblins I have laying around. I have 2 unpainted Dwarf Bolt Throwers... I'll never know why I got them. (what a positively undwarfy war machine) I have a few old Chariot chassis as the Howdah itself. But, doing the math, I am not sure the Bones figure would support that much metal weight. My guess is the Bones material would bend, but not break. Which would still look cruddy. Structural Engineer powers - Activate!\[sorry off topic]
