I've played a grand total of 1 game, and am looking for some build advice. My thoughts for this build was to have several big blocks of infantry allow the power house units to flank. The static combat res of the skele blocks hopefully countering any casualties to preserve the Vargheists and rare choices. The terrorgheists is there for warmachine hunting.

So I like this list but I don't profess to be an expert on VCs. Why did you choose not to add some form of general Vampire and to go with Konrad? My concern is that he is leadership 7 and requires to take a LD test each turn? You don't have any high LD characters to balance this do you?

The base VL costs 220. To kit him out as a combat character requires at minimum, a 130 points into powers and wargear. VC for sure need a lv4 caster, and I did not want to spend a full 500 points on a single model. While powerful, it's too easy to cheese out, and an unlucky roll could cost you the game early on. The Necromancer is not as juicy of a target, and is not the fighting backbone of the army like the VL would have to be. I picked Konrad because he is expendable, and is a budget combat option. He is also good against monstrous infantry, which this list does not have many answers for.

Ah ok I understand now. Are you going to bunker the necromancers to keep them away from combat?
