Great work with the howdah. The howdah was tricky and took some trial and error. Trying to get it right so it keeps the same aesthetic as the original model and trying to make sure it fit the model (and stays on it) was one of the more difficult parts of this (along with greenstuff work which i am by no means an expert)

Mammoth update continues, put some paint on it and washed it as well. Need to go back over it and work on the marauders that will go back on top

Mammoth is almost done, just have to figure out what im gonna do with the banners. The entire howdah is removable for ease of transport.

Another shot from the front. Im sure i could make another one, but i dont think i would want to. This was definitely a long process and a lot of conversion

Also im not sure what to do with the base, its all white and my WOC army is snow based, so......a few rocks and be done with it? Add snow?

Also im not sure what to do with the base, its all white and my WOC army is snow based, so......a few rocks and be done with it? Add snow? I usually paint my snow-based models with a dark Grey base (Skavenblight Dinge) and then drybrush any stones that will be showing up through the snow with a lighter Grey, then cover with my snow material. Personally, I think that it looks much better that way, rather than just leaving it all white.

well done, seeing this through. looks awesome!
The base is tricky because if it goes wrong it'll be highly visible on that white canvas. Things like blood splatter, flattened enemies etc. come to mind. You could still add some neutral colored boulders, tree trunks etc and then only cover their tops with snow. Maybe that is the lower risk play.

I personally like those chunks of broken up slate for my warhammer rocks. You can stack them up on each other if you want some height too. I would go for a smattering of snow on some rocky ground with some exposed mud/rock areas too, plus whatever bits you can spare from your bits box

I like the idea of a lot of the base being a darker colour (think sludge as the snow melts and is trampled on). Then when the snow is added (that you add to your normal bases) it will really stand out.
If the base is left as is or is too white it will distract and detract from the amazing model imo.

Took some of the advice people gave here, did the base with devland mud, then snow, added some rocks and some warhounds
