The banner and assassins look good.
Did you get marauder black guard with the big axes or the 6th edition skinnier black guard?

Those look fabulous! Gotta be hard to find though. There's actually quite a lot of metal Dark Elf stuff on ebay, it's just twice as expensive as buying the plastic kits! Although if I'd bought 21 metal black guard in 1997 they would have cost £35 back then so the £60 I paid for these maybe isn't that bad. At least I can tell myself that...

Nothing avarage about your painting Mr Blank. I love what you are doing with these dark elves. And respect for going with the old black guard. I always thought they were bad-ass as hell. It's such a shame that the 5th edition executioners never made it into normal production, I liked those too:

If I didn't know better, I'd say those could've been High Elves! wait, there is a difference?!? though that might be the reason they never made it to production. Never seen these models, cool. ...and paint on, Mr. Blank, please.

Thanks, I guess I'll keep it as it is if people think it looks ok! Now I've got to think of something to do with the 99 sheets of calligraphy paper I've got lying around yep that banner is excellent!

I managed to basically finish my 21 blackguard, I'm waiting for some stuff to be delivered before I can do the bases plus the banner And the classic mid-90s command group! Up next in the queue are 28 Executioners which should hopefully be a pretty quick job as 90% of the model is just chainmail!

Indeed very nice! So what’s your upcoming plan for the bases? I'm going to try astrogranite debris with little tufts of grass, I've also ordered some valhallan blizzard to test some frost with before i decide whether I'm going to put it on all the bases. Never used the technical paints before though so it might end up being a disaster!

I like the astrogranite, not super fond of the snow. If doing snow again I would probably use woodland scenics snow flock.
gw snow technical is more closer to ice ground then snow.

That's a seriously sweet (and heavy) unit.
