Sure you can, just don't be surprised when a Blender Strigoi comes along and ruins your day.

So I can't put 100 archers in it, with bsb-botwd, alarielle, a fighty lord, hero with magic bow and scroll caddy? I quit this game! Come to game with me with this attitude and I'll open the door for you on your way out.

Come to game with me with this attitude and I'll open the door for you on your way out. haha, it's awful isn't it? Dwellers would sort the unit out though 😉 Regarding FFF, I'd probably have to cap the number of models that can start/go in it. Maybe insist that the character who is carry the item also has to be in it?

Maybe insist that the character who is carry the item also has to be in it? Fortunately that attitude is pretty rare. Most players are more interested in having fun than in bringing the ultimate cheddar. Outside the old tournament structure, anyway. And even then many players who'll go full cheddar in tourneys will be willing to take it easier in casual games. It's only the worst of the worst who insist on playing that way all the time. But yes, FFF works best with reasonable limits on unit size. For that matter, GW overlooked balancing buildings in such a manner. I mean, you really should not be able to fit 50+ troopers in a farmer's shack, and that shack should be easily dismantled if someone tries. There really needs to be a bit of discussion between players as to what different buildings can do and still be believable in game.

So, yeah, about what I expected, thanks everyone for the response. The idea is, in the end, a fluffy hobbying project/potential unique army. But going all in produces problems for games. The project likely won't be done, or at the very least not to the all-in idea that I had first thought. I do want to point out something I had failed to mention: Narrative. I do love narrative. IMO it is the best way to play. So the idea of making the tower destructible, making an entire new scenario for it, etc, I think could be cool. First and foremost, though, is the chance that 8th just won't get much play so no need to mess with what few games I might get in with weird scenarios and an entire hobby project. May still build a cool Wizard tower as I do love Wizards... Again, thank you all for the responses. Imo the flying fortress was put in the game pricisely for people like you with your attitude. It's a cool little thing that would make for some great narrative games so long as that's what the players were trying to achieve. It has a bad reputation now due to how it can be 'gamed' but that's unfortunate.

I also have a soft spot for armies that can bring along something truly unique and extra terrain is right up there! Feels like I am having more of an effect on making the table and game my own, especially since tables are often so depressingly bare (yes, I know why, just always looks silly to fight in so many open fields...) Anyways, yeah, wasn't my intention to game it so will probably be a back burner item. If 8th actually takes off a bit in the group, who knows, and hey, worse comes to worse I can put together a cool terrain piece. But yeah, I hate super gamey and cheesy stuff, so this will probably just end in a lot of bad feelings. Oh well.
