Honestly, I'm getting more and more disillusioned with TOW as time goes on.
I'll stick with 8th thanks, unless some real concrete evidence turns up that they aren't on a squeeze more money out kick.

Ofc they are.
I don't think TOW will replace 8th; it'll just be another game I can play

Cathay.. wow. At launch too. I want my Chaos Dwarfs though.
I think this basically confirms Cathay for the Old World too!

If they are doing Cathay I hope we see miniatures at some point.

Really nice to hear them confirm Kislev and Cathy. So looking forward to them developing another human race other than Empire and Bretonnia. I wonder if that means we'll also get others like Estonia, Tilea and Araby? Would be so cool!

I hope they also don't forget about the armies that didn't get a look-in for books/models during 8th *coughbretscough*
But I welcome cathayan and kislevine armies 😊
I wonder if they'll step towards kingdom in ind....

I find it a smart move if they want to sell new minis. To start with new or armies that has few models today.
In that way they can allow old armies in old style/set/size but premier new ones. To make us collect (if that was ever a problem).

It’d be great if it wasn’t for the fact they’re going to be in Forge World resin so that only the most dedicated and wealthy of us can buy them...
Also I’m interested to see what units they come up with and see if they’re in any way similar to Matthias Eliasson’s unofficial works (partly because if they decide to make an official Albion range I DO NOT want them to follow Eliasson’s Fantasy Scottish Highlander version).

Forge world/special games makes plastic sets for everything with big enough expected order volume. Blood bowl, necromunda, heresy main box, titanicus, lord of the rings among more.

Forge world/special games makes plastic sets for everything with big enough expected order volume. Blood bowl, necromunda, heresy main box, titanicus, lord of the rings among more. I certainly hope they follow the model of the Middle Earth reboot (where most of the main warrior units and key characters are available in plastic and it’s only brand new factions and less well-known characters that are Forge World made). This could be done for TOW by bringing back all the plastics that were killed off in the AoS era for all the factions that had been supported up to 8th, plus giving plastic key unnamed characters to each of these factions (one Lord/Hero and one Wizard for each), and perhaps even making plastic sets for core units for new factions (which players will need lots of), then making the rest for Forge World. That would be the best case scenario now for TOW. The worst case would be if they went in the style of Horus Heresy and made pretty much everything in Forge World resin except maybe a starter box (which in Horus Heresy’s case doesn’t exist anymore anyway).

I would not put too much into it at this point. And the post has 0 proof of anything.
