hey, so much excitement here! I think if you do crazy orange-yellow fur, dark and muted metal will help tone it down a bit (and make the fur stand out). if everything is a riot of colors it might be too much.

I was reading White Dwarf, page 12, Tzaangors. Obv, I love the minis. Obv, the 'Eavy Metal Paint Job is light years past my skill level. But... the models are just so confused and so all over the place. Their color scheme is, to use a very technical art school term, whack. I am doing mine much simpler. I will take my time and do it well, but it'll be mostly orange, yellow, horn, and metals.

This is a past due update... the very first posts in this thread were for a Dwarf War Machine Battery. See below. It is 100% done, based & flocked and ready to send unerring bolts into units of Knights today! Enjoy your 1+ armor, no - oh wait.

This is past due update... my WOC BSB. A giant troll carrying the largest banner that y'all ever did see. Troll mini is 100% done, see below and then below again... Need to re-do my banner. First attempt was freehand and not satisfactory. Will do version 2.0 as a simler geometric pattern. Know your own limits and all that I suppose.

This is a past due update. Back on September 5th I posted a WIP picture of my new big bad chaos dragon. See, I have 2 old all-pewter ones, Citadel Miniatures circa 1996. Great minis, but... They're multi-part metal and my pinning jobs weren't even enough to keep them whole for an 8-hour gaming session. My solution was to find a resin mini and put a cool metal rider on it. See below. It came together rather nicely, complete with cool base and included tower and ice crystals. It really fits in thematically with my Warriors army ~~~ quasi-knightly, Norsca-ish, purple. Its all there! Yippee. Can't wait to bring this dude to a game. He's on a 120mm x 120mm base... unsure how folks feel about that. He'll take up more space on a battlefield, which could be good and/or bad. My opponents can fit more dudes in combat against him, which is typically good for the opponent. Cheers to boney purple wingy death from above!!!!

You did say you were going to cut him if he missed another boneheaded roll - and then he did. I think he decided seppukku was the only honorable solution.

Happy Halloween from my Saturday Morning workbench. Yah, I know, it's not Halloween, or even October. But look at these here orange Tzaangors. And the black discs! Assembled last night, primed this morning. One layer of orange wash applied to the riders. More to come tomorrow!

(And for alert readers, the pewter miniatures on the right are a unit of five Naga, from the Naga Clan, from Legend of the Five rings. They will be a unit of Centigors in my freshly forming allied Beastmen army)

Legend of the Five Rings had some awesome miniatures. I actually have their undead set - skeleton warriors in Japanese-like armour.
Wilson, def let us know when you use the beastmen in battle.
