Warriors of Chaos vs Empire 2500 pts recap

I am horrible with stopping to take pictures during a game, so unfortunately ill post a pregame or two but thats all i got.
This was actually 2750 of WOC vs Emp as we were playing a modified frozen death scenario. So the board minus 6 inches on the defenders side is ice. Any unit on ice rolls a die, on a 2-6 nothing happens on a 1 something bad. Warriors obviously started as attackers as they had to try to make it across the ice
Frozen Death rolls
1 the beast emerges (my "merwyrm" with monster rules, is auto in combat with the unit)
2-3 Crack! dangerous terrain test, scaly skin and amr save of 4 up fail on a 1 or 2
4-5 Thin Ice. Initative test if failed wound
6 move forward 6 inches

Recap of game
So before the game starts i get to roll 4 dice for the chosen on the eye of the gods table and discard two dice of my choosing. I roll and get.....2 6s!!!! The aspiring champion passes his Ld test and becomes a Daemon Prince!!! Wow!!! And no units rolled 1 on the frozen death chart so all good there, everyone moves up. Im able to get giver of glory on my Warshrine, so Sigvald gets another attack and the chaos warrior champion adds 1 toughness to his profile. Hellcannon shoots and puts 4 wounds on the steam tank
Empire turn one, wizard lord goes joins some Archers and goes into a watchtower. Steam tank shoots a cannon into my newly crowned Daemon prince, ward saves fail and he dies (chaos gods giveth and the empire taketh). Hellblaster kills 2 chosen.
Mammoth makes it into the flagellants which may have been a mistake. The big guy ended up killing 20 of those guys but finally was put down by the psychos.
The warshrine charges the flagellants who are severly depleted but they end up rolling well and killing the warshrine.
The steam tank kiled a dragon ogre and the inner circle knights with Luthor Huss killed the remaining dragon ogres
The chaos warriors end up in battle with the halberdier horde and lose conbat by 2, even with the bsb near by they flee, eventually turning around to get charged by the halberdiers again and beaten and run down.
The Marauders get into combat, but fail a fear check (rerollable too) and dont do near enough damage to the greatswords. Eventually all the marauders are killed but the bsb sticks around to whittle away the greatswords. Eventually Luthor Huss and friends flank charge the bsb and kill him
The hell cannon fails his leadershil roll turn 2 and goes like 15 inches closer to the steam tank, which on turn 2 shoots the hellcannon and kills it outright
The warhounds flee and die
Sigvald and the chosen end up killing the hellblaster, a unit of archers, and the steam tank. They were left standing after 6 as the only warriors on the table
Verdict
A massacre for the empire. Unfortunately the "merwyrm" (father dagon reaper mini) never made it to the table. Fun game as always and it seemed more competitive than the end result.
