That's a nice pale skin tone. I love the Kharibdyss model. It's one of my favourite kits. Looking forwards to seeing yours.

Really nice paintjob there, the result is truly impressive. Two minor details are a bit immersion-breaking for me. The unfilled lines between body and necks of the Kharibdyss kind of stand out to me. And shouldn't there be at least some snow on the rocks and treestump?
Other than that: great work!

Other than that: great work! I agree on the joins, as mentioned on the post I just completely forgot and by the time I noticed it I was already halfway through the paint job. It's fine for the tabletop. Just need to remember to do it on future monsters. Good point on the snow on the rocks. May go back and add that (to other models too).

Love the Kharibdyss. Evil looking red claws.

Love the Kharibdyss. Evil looking red claws. I should just let you comment for me as your thoughts are all along the same lines as mine π. The red really works against the other colours. It makes it more menacing, avoiding the cartoony feel of GWs red period (a period I donβt actually mind anyway)

Oh man, what a great Dark Elf army. Love this to bits!
The cold one knights and the kharybdiss are my favourite. Fantastic choice of colours.
My first real attempts of using an airbrush were also when doing a large monster (arachanarok) and I loved it too. Keep on rocking!

Congratulations on the 2100 point army. Cold ones have a unique look.

So its been a while, but to be fair to myself I've become a father in the interim. I'm actually quite proud of myself for getting anything done considering to be fair!!! Anyway here is my reaper bolt thrower and crew. Pretty basic paint job but I'm hally with it. This takes me to 2170 pts fully painted excluding upgrades. No prospect of any gaming any time soon of course but will be nice to have (what is for me) such a large army painted and ready to go when we hopefully return to some sort of normality. Probably will be able to push it up to 2,500 pts no problem with some upgrades and magical items. I really wasn't sure what to do next but I've decided to paint some corsairs. I was torn between doing something a bit more fun like a monster and getting through some bulk and I've decided to go bulk. Its good to be posting again!
