nice! you are making quick work of these guys. How about a bit more variety with the hair color? Right now these are a bunch of blondes hunting down brown haired guys. You have grand plans for tribal tattoos all over, I hope?

You have grand plans for tribal tattoos all over, I hope? They kinda have to be blond. Traditionally the Woad Raiders of the celts used lime to spike their hair, it turned it almost white. Hence all the one colour. As for the bloke with the head, there’s a story behind that which we went into on the podcast, give it a listen, it’s quite humorous! And yep, absolutely, the blue Woad will be making an appearance, I’m doing it tonight in fact!

Nice to see someone creating an Albion army and love the use of Victrix models, but I personally am not fond of Matthias Eliasson's take on the army. Too much Scottish Highlander silliness and not enough proper Ancient Celt for my liking. That’s why I have written my own Albion army list, based in part on my own vision of the army and in part based on the fantastic units and characters devised by DeviantArtist Matthew Klaas de Witte - after Tale of Five Gamers has finished please feel free to have a go with my rules too, as I'd love to see how you get on with them, and if you do use them I'd love to hear any and all feedback you have about the ruleset, as I can't be certain on whether there are any too overpowered or underpowered elements unless others also provide active feedback. My ruleset can be found here: eefl.freeforums.net/thread/2196/warhammer-albion-playtest-army-draftAnd here's a link to Matt's awesome Albion artwork for inspiration: eefl.freeforums.net/thread/1311/albion-concept-artwork-matthew-klaas

Absolutely fantastic stuff!
I'm using the same victrix kits for my own Albion force, but I didn't dare brave the woad! After seeing these and seeing how much it improves them I will have to go back and do it for sure!

I've just uploaded the entire years worth of painting log backlog I had! Good few pictures of my Albions are in there now, though no where near as complete as yours yet! I am looking forward to getting back to them though, it's great to see Albion getting some attention after so much 'official' neglect!

Base colours from the shields down. The army will eventually be lead by the warrior queen Gwenlaen of the Sessair (Red). Until then though the rather large force will have warriors from all over the isle, the tribes all brought together under the stalwart will of one man, Creidhne (pronounced Crane’ya). A renowned artisan and warlord of the Fir-Domain (Green) . Answering his call is Gwenlaen’s personal champion, Lir of the waves, a ferocious sea raider and Nuada, son of Abratach. He is his fathers banner bearer for the Finian Tribe (Blue).

There’s so little in the way of inspo out there for our army! It’s great to meet another clan! 🤜🏻🤛🏻

So I wanted the next unit to have duel hand weapons. Unfortunately the Victrix naked fanatics don’t come with additional hand weapons. I had to get creative. I cut the blades and pommels off of all the unused blades from the last kit as well as the new one. I then painstakingly glued each front and back to the left hands. It SUCKED 😂 but, in the end, we’re all good. Here they are, undercoated and ready to receive their fleshtone tomorrow!
