Hi all, can't find this anywhere but I'm pretty sure there is a rule in regards...
If a spell is cast on a unit of cavalry (or any mounted unit) that provides a bonus to hit or an additional attack, etc. (such as the Metal spell Enchanted Blades of Aiban), does both the rider and mount receive the bonus or only the rider?
Thanks,

I looked through the FAQ and couldn’t find anything to clarify it. Looking at blades and flaming sword in the BRB it does state it applies to the unit they are cast on, so it appears the steeds would also get the bonus.

Generally, a spell that targets a unit, self-evidently targets every element of that unit, unless specifically stated otherwise. It is so self-evident that the BRB does not actually state it in the Magic section, but as an aside in the section about characters:
BRB p. 100: "On the other hand, many spells and magic items bestow special rules and other effects on units. In this case, everyone (including the character) in the combined unit will be affected."

Thanks, I agree about being self-evident, I just thought there was something stating otherwise.
Thanks for the help!

Yes, also as in the My Will Be Done rule for Tomb Kings specifically says it does not affect cavalry.
