Hi, I am in the process of planning a return to collecting and playing WFB, going to make Nurgle Daemons my first project since I already own about 2000pts worth of models that I have collected over the last few years but not done anything with yet.
Few basic questions for anyone who can advise me as I play around with army lists ideas.
I own a model that could be either a GUO or a wing less Daemon Prince, which would you advise is the best to go for?
Can a Herald on a Palanquin be ranked in with a unit of Plaguebearers, as I believe the base size would be the same as four Plaguebearer models?
How useful are Daemonic Gifts & Loci or am I better off spending those points on magic levels?
Or is the answer both and just have less units?
Thanks for any answers and advice that can be offered to an extremely rusty former WFB player.

I own a model that could be either a GUO or a wing less Daemon Prince, which would you advise is the best to go for? --------------GUO is the best. The +1T and +1W he has over a Prince is a big deal. Toughness 7 is really good. Can a Herald on a Palanquin be ranked in with a unit of Plaguebearers, as I believe the base size would be the same as four Plaguebearer models? -----------Yes, the Palanquin in on a 50x50 base and so the footprint ranks up with Plaguebearers. Palaquin is one of the best mounts in the game, not only does it give you a bunch of extra attacks from the Nurglings but it bumps your Herald from 2W to 4W.How useful are Daemonic Gifts & Loci or am I better off spending those points on magic levels? -----------Loci are great because they give a bonus to an entire unit, making your Daemon units better. When it comes to Daemonic Gifts and Magic levels, it's really a personal choice and what you want to play with. I know some people like to max out of gifts and magic, but pay attention to the cost...what is better a max-outed GUO or TWO GUO without upgrades? Never forget the Greater Daemons are powerful BEFORE you give them any upgrades. Or is the answer both and just have less units? ----------I play a Nurgle Daemon army and I always want to include more units. So I'm careful about spending a lot of points on upgrades.
