Hello all,
I'm looking for a second army to have some change from my chaos in the future. Lizardmen always peaked my interest, just never started them.
I like the model/concept of the Slann model. Can I include one in a 1k army? Of will that become Over powered or terible?
Army would be something like this: Slann, lore undecided, soul of stone [325] Scar vet, shield, light armour, enchanted shield [95]
20 saurus, hand weapon shield, full command [250] 24 skink skirmishers, champion [178]
5 chameleon skins [65] Salamander [80]
For 993 total. All buildable with currently available models. Could trade the salamander to add kroxigor to the skinks.
Am i stupid/ruining friendships for trying this? Would Tetto'eko be a better idea?

Although the latest Update Version includes various ET rules (including raising the point allowance for Lords to 50 instead of 25%), many players (including myself) prefer not to apply these. If your group does apply them, then there is no problem.

Assuming people are okay with using End Times rules I don't see a problem with it. You're investing a good chunk of points into a powerful but somewhat vulnerable character, especially with no Temple Guard bodyguard to protect him from shooting attacks and magic.
As an aside, I'd run the Skink Skirmishers as two units of 12 instead of one unit of 24. It gives you more versatility and mobility to choose shooting targets, block enemy movement, etc.

Depends on where you stand on things. A slann in a 1k point game is a bit much. But most people will tell you any lvl 4 caster is. But a slann can be tooled up to be particularly strong. We're talking about one of the best magic users in the game. Can it be done? Yes. Is it likely to be too strong at 1k points to make friends. Possibly. How were you thinking of running him? Just standing alone? That would make him quite vulnerable. Give him Ethereal if anything? Tetto, or a reg. lvl 2 Skink Priest is likely to be much more friendly (Even though Tetto is really strong too, in his own way). Try Tetto in the unit of the Skinks, the saurus block with the scar vet and add a dino and see how it goes. Or bring a reg. lvl 2 of heavens/beasts, and add more dinos in general

Thanks for all the input.
First off, this was just a brain fart "is this possible".
I missed indeed the 25% rule, and we play as written in the rulebook, no end times, so it is not legal to begin with. But a fun thought experiment. 2K would be the absolute minimum to be able to include one.
Have people ever tried running multiple?
A more fun list to be collected in the future would be: Scar vet, shield, light armour, enchanted shield, biting blade [105] Tetto'eko [185]
Saurus 20, full command [250] Skinks 24, full command [150] Chameleon skinks 5 [65] Stegadon, horns [235]
990pts and all currently available.

That looks like a much more fun and balanced 1k list

This is much better! Fun list, with two strong units in the Saurus and Steggy. Last word of caution is the Chameleon Skinks - I love them, they are great! But they work particularly well against artillery or maybe big monsters. So depending on who you're facing, a salamander or razordon might be better to bring.
