I've revised the Beasts of Chaos updates that allows players to use the 6th edition Beast of Chaos army book in 8th edition WFB. The Beasts of Chaos army book presented a unique style of play for Beastmen armies anchored around unruly Beast Herds that mixed the different types of Beastmen models (Gors and Ungors) into disorderly formations, along with army-wide ambusher rules. In my eyes this army book was one of the best, in any edition. Although the erratum includes new units and special characters from the later Beastmen book, the goal of the erratum is be be able to use Warhammer: Beast of Chaos as is (as much as possible). Rather than referring the player to Dragon Orges, Trolls and other unit entries in Warriors of Chaos, players still use the rules and profiles found in Beasts of Chaos as the document describes. Let me know if you try it out. WARHAMMER: BEASTS OF CHAOS ERRATUM: Beasts_of_Chaos_erratum_EEFL_02.pdf (153.34 KB)

WARHAMMER: BEASTS OF CHAOS ERRATUM: View AttachmentSome logical developments from the first draft, I’m pleased to hear you took into account my suggestions for some rules for Taurox and the ‘Ungor Hunters’ name change. However, I have a question - in 6th Edition Ungors were given 25mm bases to allow them to rank up with Gors in Beast Herds, but in 7th Edition (and your updated Ungor Hunter Rules) they were given 20mm bases to make them more like Goblins, which means in your erratum there are two types of Ungors with different-sized bases. Would this be acceptable, or would it be required that both units have the same size of base? Because if the latter was enforced, either Ungors in Beast Herds would have smaller bases than the Gors, which would create units with uneven ranks, or Hunters would be given 25mm bases which would be a little bit of a nerf. However, Chaos Marauders inexplicably also have 25mm bases, so I’d think this latter option would be best.

lordofskullpass , Thanks for the feedback. I don't see the base size as that big issue. Since my update is not official, I wouldn't expect players to rebase their models, so as long as players argee I don't see an issues with it. Even so, for the mix Beast Herds the entire unit should be 25 mm bases, but if a player were to mix in Ungors on 20 mm bases, they would just have to tweak it. The Ungor Hunters are in there to allow units of Ungors on their own as well. The proper base should be 20 mm, but again if players want to have them on 25 mm, I don't see the issue. But I agree...I'd prefer all Chaos infantry to be 25x25 mm.
