For those who like Steve from MWG, he’s started to do 8th edition book reviews on his Mountain Miniatures YouTube channel. I’ve watched a few of them now and the ones where he has guests on reviewing them with him are definitely better than those he does solo as the guests tend to remember the army rules without the constant flicking backwards and forwards in the books. He has Kyle from Squarehammer reviewing Orcs and Goblins and Cullen joined him for Skaven.
I know MWG receives a lot of flack for the rule mistakes and although I didn’t agree with everything by said in some of the reviews, I do like his easy style and I’m a fan of any content that promotes 8th.

I'll have to give that a look, 8th Ed video content is rare enough. I'd passed over their channel when I first found it as I never really liked MWG for a few reasons, so passed it off as an extension of their main MWG channel. |

I know this is old, but...
I don't know why people get upset with rules mistakes (outside of sanctioned tournaments), especially when its by people who play multiple armies per Game System, some in as many as four or five game systems.
Steve plays multiple editions of WFB, and 40K, AoS, Horus Heresy, and is preparing for Old World.
I havenearly two dozen armies Ive collected over 27 years, in 7 game systems, and at any one time im only completely versed in 3-4 of those of armies and systems. Fantasy is the only system I have never taken a break from. I haven't played HH or LotR in at least a couple of years. 40k I play weekly. I get sbout 3 games of WFB in per week, because those closest to me play. I play AoS about once a month, badly. I just don't get to focus on it. Constantly changing armies, it's easy to make Mistakes.

I have higher expectations for people who publish material in whatever medium compared to what you and I and the next chump do in the privacy of their garage. Goes for painting of miniatures and terrain as well as getting the rules right. I guess I am old-fashioned and that is not the world of youtube, tik-tok and whatnot where everybody gets to be famous. Now, get of my lawn!

Someone was saying your mind turns to mush when you have to hold a camera and play a game at the same time. Its hard to multitask and its not like you can walk in with a script. However, it always does sound like neither person playing on MWG knows what is happening so there is that.  I do like his easy style and I’m a fan of any content that promotes 8th. I was sad they all abandoned 8th for crappy WAP. Boo-urns! |
