Brought this list vs skaven yesterday and felt pretty balanced and combat oriented. Skaven wasn’t the filthiest list either as he has beaten me in 10 games in a row Eagle Lord And Unicorn Weaver Wood Elves Glade Lord: shield; Great Eagle; Armour of Destiny; Ogre Blade 288 Spellweaver: Level 4 Wizard; Lore of High Magic; Unicorn; Talisman of Preservation 325 Spellsinger: Lore of Beasts; Dispel Scroll 105 Glade Captain: Battle Standard Bearer; Asrai spear; shield; hagbane tips; Elven Steed; The Helm of the Hunt; Hail of Doom Arrow 167 5 Glade Riders: hagbane tips 110 5 Glade Riders: hagbane tips 110 5 Glade Riders: hagbane tips 110 15 Dryads 165 15 Dryads 165 4 Tree Kin 180 4 Tree Kin 180 6 Wild Riders: shields 168 5 Waywatchers 100 5 Waywatchers 100 Treeman 225 2 498 points

My thoughts on the list building: So I know I was up against either Skaven or Lizzies. Most likely Skaven. My idea was I wanted something to handle hordes and went with high weaver and fiery consecration. Also though it was a perfect time for a unicorn high weaver I also actually thought dryads had outperformed against skaven in last game I lost and someone in fb thread suggested units of 15. So I wanted to try it out. I thought he might run wm, doomwheels or HPA or lizzie monster so also needed something to handle that. In came the ogre blade eagle lord. I like to have a hoda bsb so went with a steed and running him with mandatory at least one unit of wild riders so gave him a spear and shield and helm of the hunt for increased punch. Wanted something to handle backline war-machines and wanted more shots. In came glade guard. These ones are as long as you don’t get messed up by ambush rule, amazing! Also as I had not enough points free for eagles they become even better/mandatory as shaff/wm hunters. To add more possible horde handling or skink cloud flank protectors I went with two squares of tree kins. To handle more hordes and monster i thought treeman fitted well. Then came I needed some solution to high armor -> way watchers. Also gave more shots against shaff and other stuff. I have found small units of 5 always makes their money back. I hade more points I would still add more of them. To round it up i went with a wyssans wildforn scroll caddy.

I want to hear about the unit of 15 Dryads. Frankly, I love hte models, I like fielding a tree-heavy list, but I haven't been able to make them work - not even the 10-woman flankers.

I want to hear about the unit of 15 Dryads. Frankly, I love hte models, I like fielding a tree-heavy list, but I haven't been able to make them work - not even the 10-woman flankers. So the basic idea is that they are pretty decent vs ws3 s3 t3 slaves/clan rats and skinks. If no target arise they are small enough to be a little tarpit/speedbump/chaff and with wyssans they become strong. With a small unit you don’t pay as much tax for two attacks per model from supporting models/rank. Regarding performance, this game they ended upp on chaff-ish duty. One unit was charged by monks with furnace and filthy banner. They managed to kill 5 rats before they were wiped out. But they did they job. They other unit I made a combo charge with a treeman against HPA. Did not do the math so it might been bad charges. I did not manage to do many wounds on the HPA and only won on static res and a failed LD test after 3 rounds. To be honest I expected to die but they hold out very long and I did roll pretty good with 6s on ward save. So they performed good and the extra rank for a turn or two definitely made impact. I still think they both did ok and need more investigation. I really liked the number of combo charge potential this ended up with. A key might be combo attacks with units that doesn’t break as easy like a stubborn treeman so they have a chance to rally and not be run down. When up against better units. Not sure need more investigation.
