This army has been around 6-7 years in the making - I started it during 7th edition, adapted it to 8th edition, and now I'm finally getting close to finishing it years after 8th is mostly dead. But anyway, my friends still play and this forum looks amazingly active! The army started with Kraan on Warbear from Mierce Miniatures. That model inspired me to start a WoC army, and made me want to theme it around polar bears as much as I possibly could. He is my Exalted hero on demonic mount that rides with the Skullcrushers! Much to my eternal shame, for the focal point of the army, they are still very much WiP. Maybe I will join the monthly painting challenge for July and aim to finish them off completely. My painting skills have got a fair bit better since I started them! My block of warriors, including battle standard and sorcerer lord! (Thats his familiar next to him ) Close up of the BSB; Close up of the Sorcerer. This is the first model where I put a lot of time and attention into the face! I don't think I have done better since. Rear of the unit; Waiting for other photos to complete and process, I'll add another post soon.

Ok time to continue! Here is my halberd unit. They're the first multipose unit from Avatars of War. They look beautiful, but wow were they a pain to assemble! I have numbered all of the bases so that I can rank them up in the same way each time. They don't fit any other way.. (Edit: That photo is awful sorry. I will take better photos at a later date!) Chaos wolves! I painted these as white wolves to suit the army. Nurgle gorebeast chariot! This bear is from Scibor miniatures. The chariot is kitbashed from a corpse cart of all flimsy things. The rider is from a 40k set actually. Is one chariot enough? I don't think so! (Avatars of war hero) This little guy sometimes runs as Scyla, sometimes as a spawn. Now that I am building a chaos ogre unit that he can hide in, Scyla might appear more. I will repaint him with red armour I think.

What is a WoC army without a Hellcannon? This is a mashup of a Privateer Press bear, an Ogre Ironblaster Cannon, ooolllddd metal pink horror as the 'cannon ball' and some incredible cute little bears from Greebo Games! Buying an ironblaster cannon gave me a Rhinox spare. I gave it some silly little spare pieces to convert into a nurgle spawn! Its not a bear but I love the feel of this little guy - throwback to when WFB was a bit silly and comical. This is one of my more recent miniatures. I used to use a demogorgon model as my chimera. In fact, I have enough demogorgons to make a themed WoC list! Maybe I will post them later as well if anyone is interested.. Now my chimera fits the bear theme. 3D print model designed by Rocket Pig Games and printed by an amazing Australian store Dungeon Labs which customized the size, sockets and wings, and base for me! Flaming breath? More like icy breath!

Ok here is the last post for now. I wanted this guy to be a demon prince, but he ended up a liiiittle bit too big. Ultimate cannonball magnet! Hes on a 100mm square base. I think I will use him as a giant when I want a bit of fun in the list. Hes also 3D printed custom size by DungeonLabs. Scultped by Archvillain Games. Look at the size of this thing! One final comment - I have painted under all my unit bases then added blood for the blood god splatter effect so there is a cool remnant when models die! Recently I did deploy most of the army for a game and put a couple of photos on my instagram. See if the link works. Ok so I still want to make some improvements on a lot of the models here, definitely open to feedback! Photos always seem to highlight the worst parts for me... I am also working on a new demon prince (more reasonable sized!) and a unit of bears for chaos ogres at the moment so more to come.

wow, this stuff looks great. You promised bears and delivered ...bears! I had no idea there were so many amazing sculpts available. My favorite is that three headed chimera. Looks vicious.

Awesome stuff man, really nice conversions and theme and paint jobs! The Chaos gods would approve. And also the Bear God, if there was one. That 40k lord is excellent, what model is it?!

Thanks guys! Yeah I think I will have to join the monthly painting challenge. I would like to do 'finishing touches' on a lot of the army - some need more than others. But I will be mixing up with Kingdom Death painting as well. Awesome stuff man, really nice conversions and theme and paint jobs! The Chaos gods would approve. And also the Bear God, if there was one. That 40k lord is excellent, what model is it?! Cheers! Hes the chaos lord from the dark vengeance starter set a few editions ago. I swapped his plasma pistol for the chain. Excellent timing - tonight I got home from work and my 50mm bases have just arrived so I can base up my new Chaos Ogre unit! More bears to paint. They're 50mm bases, so again a little deviation from what they should be. Slightly too large for 40mm bases though. That banner is massive! Pity he can't be my BSB.

Cool conversions, and I love the theme running through your army. I've got the Kraan on warbear model too, and I'm itching to paint him now - it's such a menacing model.
Those blood splatters on the movement trays are a neat idea.

Focused on my new nurgle demon prince instead of the khorne ogres bear unit. Woops! Turns out photographing white is as hard as painting it... He has a massive familiar! Over the top? The unit didn't get totally neglected though. A WiP shot! Where I am we are just coming out of lockdown.. Keen to get these guys to the table soon!
