Hi all, I've recently been painting some 10mm English Civil War mini's and it got me thinking about 10/15mm Warhammer.
I'm not keen on playing Warmaster and want the full WFB experience so was thinking about just converting inches to cm. This should allow for big games on a smaller table.
There is some mentions online of Minihammer but they all seem to be on Facebook that I avoid like the plague. Has anyone has any experience of this?

Can't say about mini Warhammer but I'm getting into 15mm ECW with my dad who's a massive fan - which rules are you using for them?

Using Pike and Shotte for ECW Nice, they certainly look good rules, though we’ve been enjoying playing The Kingdom Is Ours as a pretty streamlined and fun ruleset that can be adapted for smaller scales

Should work okay. Might be hard to find minis for the more esoteric units in 10-15mm, but there's nothing in the system that makes it unworkable.
Only trick might be speed of game play in large games with large numbers of units bogging things down even more than usual for WFB.

I am considering collecting an army at that scale, so is my most regular opponent, we also like the idea of 8th rather then Warmaster but for us it is less about larger armies & more about wanting to collect more armies then we could store at regular scale.

I can see your point of view. Also getting away with a smaller table. The more I think about it I like the idea of either multiple models or entire units on a single base. To get around the model removal issue I'm tempted to make unit cards with all the rules (saving remembering/looking through books as much) and for keeping a tally of wounds.

I love warhammer in 6mm. I only like 28mm so much as well as its a different experience building/converting models. You can single base 6mm minis and I've seen unit trays for them and they look great, but I do think its tad fiddly over multibasing, but multibasing you are probably looking at houseruleing wounds and template attacks OR using a different ruleset. But there is something fantastic about mass battles at 6mm and fantasy can be made to look like the battles in the art. My 6mm skaven are one of my favourite projects. This is a take on Smaug for a single based 6mm dungeon game I put together:
I really must get some work done on my big scale stuff so I can spend a few weeks over winter getting back to my 6mm oldhammer project, it got put aside during Uni when I was right in the middle of doing some mass units of dwarf slayers and gun line multibases!

My 6mm Skaven Warlock I converted. Giant rat is a GW plague monk kit rat. He pulls double duty as a warlock for 6mm fantasy games and as the champion for my Epic 40k Skaven/Chaos 'space vermin' force.

Controversial but I have always wished regular WFB has wound markers over removing individual models, for the look on the battlefield and for the ease of rebuilding units after the game, so I will be multibasing at 10mm scale for sure as the idea of having tiny models on individual bases seems way more hassle then it is worth.

For some of my more 'squishy' armies I have started mounting a mix of single and 4 models on a base at 28mm.
