Hey everyone, back after a long hiatus - between some personal stuff, work and generally being a depressed sad boy I just wasn't in the mood for painting. What was seeming incredibly hard to overcome was the idea of chugging away at an army... And then continuing to chug day after day. I needed something with a quick reward, that I could put on my painting table on the Monday and feel I had honestly achieved something by Sunday! So, to that end I've dropped back in to Blood Bowl. There's a group of people who play in my local pub, as well as some friends who dabble so a purchase seemed to be a sound one, as in, I'd get use from it. Picked up the new main box to start out, good teams to relearn the rules with, and lots of nice extras in the big guys, and the refs! So, I've been working on them over the last couple of weeks and honestly it's had the desired affect. So, here's what I have so far and I'll update you as I complete different elements and teams βΊοΈ my style here is definitely aiming for 'OK tabletop' quality - I want to enjoy looking at them... But I don't want to lose the pacing that means I'll actually keep on painting! The Black Orc team first, The Black Orc Redskins. These were great fun to paint with nice, characterful sculpts and chunky detail. All the guys get different heads too which helps with the twin sculpts throughout the team. The troll in particular came out OK βοΈ Then we went ahead with the star players - pardon the poor lighting/photo quality here. Again, nice sculpts and nice quick paint jobs (a day and a half on each) So, thats where we are. It's certainly helping with my mental health, and taking my mind off my loneliness which is only of benefit πͺ what do you guys think? Any feedback?

That Black Orc team is one of the best they've released yet, and I like everything about yours. Those bases are excellent too.

Gods damn it kamen, I can't keep spending money, but this has inspired me to get back into Blood Bowl with the new set (just fished out Blood Bowl, the rules and board for the second one, and most of the teams and boxed set and Death Zone for 3rd edition - god they're all in a state - well used - and now I've just gone and bought the Second Season boxed set...
Also, I really like that team, good work!

I've trimmed a lot of the feathers off the nobility team, a little ott for me, but again, good sculpts

Griff is really well done.
The black orcs are very menacing.

Also got that box recently. It's a beautiful set. And you've definitely done justice to those black orcs and Griff. Cannot wait to see what you make of the imperial nobles!

Welcome back! I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles. And yeah, I get that working on an army can feel like staring at an unscaleable cliff face sometimes. That's one reason why I keep flitting between big and small projects. But these are looking awesome. Keep up the great work!
