Can't see a thread yet so I might as well start with my first model of the month...

Nice! I'm almost regretting not picking that model up - she looks superb in your paintjob, much better than GW's one.
I've spent the last week redoing the bases on my Wood Elves plus redoing some scenery so everything matches. I'm mostly finished with that so should have photos later this week.
After that, it's whatever takes my fancy - but I've quite enjoyed painting scenery again, and I've got loads of it that needs painting, I'm just not sure I have the right stuff primed. Salute is also next weekend, so I'll probably acquire a ton of shiny new stuff then.

Great job on the vampire, sirsteve. and thanks for starting up the monthly thread. We are bunch of slackers around here!
This month I want to expand an existing unit of Ironside handgunners. that entails chopping up lots of old plastics. Beyond that working on a Beast of Nurgle and Valten has been sitting on my desk half-finished for way too long.

For the rest of the month I'm looking at my unfinished projects and thinking what can I get done by the end of the year. I'm thinking the Skaven 8th edition army might pause until next year and to look at 1) Napoleonic British, 2) Necromunda scenery and maybe 3) my 1000 point Kruleboys AoS force. Still lots to do in the next 8-9 weeks.

Very nice job on the vampire. I might have to get mine out of the box now! This month I’m going to finish the 20 odd Bretonnian archers that I got when I bought (or perhaps was bought) the 5th ed box on release. Slowly getting through the backlog of minis!
Apart from that, I’ve already built and primed 50 Empire Halberdiers, 10 xbow men and 10 hand gunners as a way of getting myself back into the hobby swing. When I finish the Bret’s, I’ll try out a new colour scheme on the Empire. I’m actually going to try and paint what I need to field a force. Try to, for once, do a regimented approach. I suspect I’ll still jump around a bit though!

Great job on the vampire, sirsteve! I just got back from vacation at Disney World this afternoon, so I'll get back to painting tomorrow. This'll be a short painting month for me, seeing as how I missed the first week and will begin the relative Thanksgiving visits soon. I'll try to get some more painting in on my Marvel United game commissions and the Sisters of Battle (Witch Elves) army commission. Hopefully I'll get a good start on those this month.

The vampire is fantastic, sirsteve , especially the blending. Okay, this is the first time that I've done the painting challenge, but I'll jump in and pledge four shieldmaidens (to complete a group of eight) for my Albion army/Saga Viking warband, a Namarti archer and a Branchwych (for my Wild Hunt Saga warband), and a couple of bugs as effect markers. That's probably a realistic goal, given my schedule.

As you’ve probably gathered, the aim of this is to keep us motivated to clear some of the piles of unpainted models we all own and I at least, often end up posting something different from the initial pledge 😁

I at least, often end up posting something different from the initial pledge 😁 Heh. Yeah, ain't that the truth? I wrote a list of things to get painted at the start of the year, and now as we near the end of it, I look at it and realise that I've painted about half of the things that I planned, but also done a bunch of different stuff...

My Giraffigor (mostly pre painted, just touched up and Warhammer based) ready for battle. Either a Centigor unit filler or Razorgor chariot in game. I also finished painting my 'hexwraiths' for the battlefield.
