I can't put my finger on it but I never cared for this iteration of wood elf sculpts. I loved their metal minis from the previous edition...this guy is nicely painted but something about this line...

I think they pushed "Elven Grace" too far and actually made most of the wood elves look like hippy girls from the 60s. That's my take at least.

What! You're kidding me! I LOVE these sculpts! It's dynamic without being too over the top, it has subtlety in it, and the dude looks seriously intimidating. I think he knows how to use that sword and could do some serious damage with it! It is one of my favorite models!

I really like Araloth (the first of the 2). I dig the Great Eagle Rider, very cool use of a Dark Elf Assassin.
What is the scoop on some of those WarHawk Riders? A few looked more like human beefcakes, rather than weedy elf types.
I came from the era where my WarHawk and Eagle riders actually RODE the birds. Like, with a saddle around the neck, rather than surfing birds.
By the by - "Surfin Bird".

Lol! Yeah the Riders are what came with the models. I simply changed the heads and arms. They were all like the first one and I wanted some variety between the three. I dunno, I kinda view them as the "crazies" that live up on the cliffs with the birds. Rather feral, hippies that go "all natural" and only use the choicest ivy to wipe their butts.

The spears on the tree men are a great conversion. Very cool looking.

Wood Elves are one of the most beautiful armies of Fantasy (if not the most). You don't even have to play with them- looking good on the shelf is enough. I think you made an excellent choice
