They really look great. Like the khan Heard a rumor that lost minion next Kickstarter will include hobos Interesting. I haven't quite figured out what to do for hobgoblin units. Though the cartoony GW goblin heads of yesteryear are growing on me. So a unit of snarling wolves and grinning riders is a possibility.

Superb hobgoblin khan conversion. Great use of the empire kit and the fenris wolf. I never would have guessed the empire kid made such great hobgoblin boss body's/limbs etc.

That’s the first time I’ve really looked at the Marauder house kit. I didn’t realise it looked so good. It might be I much prefer your paint job to the GW one. The khans are superb too.

well. A year went by. what can I say? There are just too many armies to do them all justice in parallel. Today is all about Khorne at its Khorniest. Knights in all their baroque glory! I wish these guys were scaled just a bit smaller, not just because then they wouldn't be such a royal pain to rank up but also because they make all my character models look like weedy teenagers. The champion rolled well on that RoC table of yore. Bestial face. They shall be lead to battle by a proper BSB-hero. Let me introduce you to Marbaal. Some call him the Mighty, some slander him as the oft-defeated. But, nobody can deny he got a bad deal when Khorne handed out the steeds. His goal in life is to challenge his famous brother in mortal combat and take his hound. This was a fun conversion based on an Arbaal torso/head and way old chaos knight legs. Arbaal is comically small by today's standards (except for his axe of course) so I had to put in a bit of a belly extension. Looking forward to getting this guy cannon'ed off the board turn one.

Menacing looking knights. Are these space wolf transfers on the banner?
And I must say that I disagree on the assesment of mounts. Marbaal's maybe is less chompy, but way better looking. A conversion worthy of Khorne no doubt!

Let's dial the Khorne to eleven. He is big, he is bad and now he is finally painted! Painting this model was quite the trip. The photos are a bit washed out, the wing membranes do have quite a bit more yellow in it, happy how that panned out. And then I tried to have the overall model a darker red at the bottom up to an angrier red at the top. I was a bit too timid with the gradation, I will give myself a B- for that aspect. The previous owner had scraped off all the details from the axe blade, after some putzing around I settled for smooth blue-ish metal there, best I could do. On the whole quite happy with the model, looking forward to chopping up things with reckless abandon when I get the opportunity to game. At least that's what I hope this guy can pull off.

Sweet Blood Thirster.
I will say however that looking at your paint job I've noticed for the first time (and I painted one myself) that he seems to be wearing a chain g-string (it's your well done metal highlighting). I don't think I can ever unsee that about the model now I've noticed it.
Seems more Slaanesh than Khorne.

maybe pulling that chain tight gets him in a real frenzy? don't they do something similar to the poor creatures in rodeos?
