BsB is an amazing conversion and paint job of the brilliant foot model.
He helps that unit look so good. Also the multicoloured ghoul horde is great as well with nicely done unit fillers.

Thanks for the comments everyone We finally managed to get in our re-arranged battle, the once and for all decider for who is better, WoC Vs High Elves. Neither of us are interested in particularly dirty lists and just take what we feel. My list was posted in the army list section, I went with the Giant but did not sacrifice any more Trolls to mark it. My brother had taken a Lvl 4 with Book of Hoeth, some Archers, Spearmen & Silver Helms for core. Swordmasters, Phoenix Guard & White Lions in units of 20 for the rest. For spells I ended up with Plague Wind, Blades of Putrefaction (traded back for Stream of Corruption) and Plague Wind again. This gave me a dilemma, I really like all the other spells. In hindsight I might have gone with one of the others but I opted for Fleshy Abundance. My brother then opted (a bit surprisingly for me, never seen him take it before) for Lore of Metal, which all of a sudden terrified me. He then rolled Glittering Robe, Searing Doom (eek), Gehenna's Hounds (eek) & Final Transmutation (not nice). We rolled high on the scenery table then rolled off for table edges I deployed basically to try and provide my Knights with some sort of cover from the impending magical assault, whilst being close enough to the Trolls to babysit them. I went first and basically advanced and cast fleshy abundance on the hounds. Then he went and Searing Doom & Final Transmutated my Knights bu somehow failed to kill any. I think he may hav e failed the casting value on one of them (despite lots of die & the book) ending his phase. He shot most of the Hounds off and otherwise camped on his board edge. A terrible move in my opinion. I then forgot to take pics until here In the missing turn, my final Hound had basically run into the woods, my general left the Knights who moved back the other way (trying to limit the potential damage from his dirt slinging mage) and my left flank advanced encircling his right flank. He rolled really low in his magic phase then caused no/negligible damage again. In my go my Sorceror left the Marauders who seemed destined to die soon, my Hound flank charged the Silver Helms hoping to survive a round and delay him. My Giant sneaked between the buildings and his right flank looked in serious doh. Then my sorceror managed to cast a Plague Wind right through the Swordmasters. Elves do not enjoy Toughness testing tbc

At this point I was feeling rather pleased at how things were going. In his turn he charged with all 3 of his units on thr right, the Phoenix Guard & White Lions charged the Trolls & the Spearmen managed to clip the Chaos Warriors. His Mage wandered out of an charge arcs. On the left his Swordmasters failed a long charge at the Knights. His Silver Helms made the charge to the Marauders who fled and he failed the redirection. He put a few wounds on the Giant with his archers He rolled low again on his magic but managed to cast Glittering Robe on the Spearmen. They managed to hold against the Warriors. 2 of the Trolls were killed and they did a reasonable amount of damage back but still fled, being hacked down by both units as they ran In my turn the inevitable counter charge happened, The Lord charged the flank of the Phoenix Guard and the Giant the rear. The Dragon Ogres charged the Spearmen & the Knights charged the Silver Helms. The Marauders rallied. The Lord completely fluffed his attacks against the Phoenix Guard taking a wound in return. The Giant also took another wound, but then proved all the doubters wrong by jumping up and down and stomping the Phoenix Guard to oblivion. They were however steadfast and did not run. The Dragon Ogres took a couple of wounds from the Spearmen but also did a fair bit of damage and forced them to flee, but failed to catch them. The Knights also caused the Silver Helms to flee after killing four.

In his turn the Phoenix Guard (having reformed last turn) struck at the Giant.... 1 wound remaining! They took more Giant related pain, turned and fled, and were cut down. The pursuit took them into the White Lions.. and they fled in terror! The Spearmen rallied to face the Dragon Ogres and the Silver Helms rallied too. The White Lions turned to face the Lord & Giant. The archers shot down a Dragon Ogre. The Swordmasters charged the Knights and despite killing 3 took heavy damage. I don't remember what his mage did, not much, a recurring theme
In my turn I charged his White Lions with my General. The Warriors advanced. The Dragon Ogres then managed to lose the combat & fled causing the Warriors to panic as well. The Dragon Ogres were cut down. The Sorceror charged the flank of the Swordmasters who again took a pounding and were destroyed. In his turn his Silver Helms charged the Marauders who again fled, this time he succeeded in redirecting into the Knights. He rolled high on the winds, he cast something horrific (Searing Doom I think) which would surely kill my 1+ AS Lord.. but miscast! Then rolled low on the hits and a couple of 1s and the Lord survived with 1 wound remaining. And then he lost all his dice from the pool What a shame. The Knights dispatched with the Silver Helms Into my final turn, all of a sudden the battle felt a lot closer than it should have done. My Giant was on a single wound and positioned precariously, he tried to get out of archer range. My General with no combat options on to try and hide from the magic, bravely ran away. I couldn't do anything of note magic wise. The Warriors rallied His final turn, he shot the Giant down with it being right on the cusp of the archers range. He then took out his magical frustration on the Warriors reducing them to 9, but alas, too little too late. In the end a comfortable win for Warriors. Aided by some bad positioning early on. This is also the reason I hate playing with magic reliant lists, if it doesn't come off you are up against it.

Superb report indeed. Lots of terrain created a great tactical battle and the minis made it felt like 5th edition all over again. P.S. Curious how the Giant could pop up in the rear of the High Elves? That was pretty far and did he has to roll for tripping over lots of difficult terrains?

Thanks for the comments The move probably looks further because there is a missing turns worth of photos I forgot to take He did indeed roll all his falls, but was an exceptionally dextrous Giant who did not fall once even after all the jumping. We also ruled moving through the gap in the houses was allowed as long as the model could fit between. We did misplay one aspect though my brother has informed me, he wants it ruled a draw. You don't take terror tests on pursuit induced combat which resulted in the destruction of his White Lions. Oh Well

Thanks for the battle report! I love watching elves die Table looks great and I love that all your minis were painted! REMATCH! Also a thought: if you have the item slot available, the dragonbane gem is a must take against the lore of metal. because they count as flaming attacks you now have a 2+ ward save against the lore of metal. if your lord is tzeentch marked and has the third eye then it's now a rerollable 2+ ward save I typically always try and bring it along; as a WoC player I see the lore of metal a lot.

Having trouble deciding who to play as on friday, any requests? I guess it will be 1 of High Elves, Orcs & Goblins or Dwarfs (these are up on the rotation). I will probably be playing Daemons
