Right,
kinda done with my Mordheim stuff, for now.. The Black orc Boss will, probably, be rebased on a 25mm square base before painting but the warband will stay on round bases. And then I am painting Black Orcs for Blood Bowl (LOVE those models!)
But! This is the start of my rebuilt WFB Orcs and Goblins.  I have 10-12 Black orcs and 10 Night Goblins at present, at home - and a bunch of 2nd hand stuff on the way - picking it up in a couple of weeks. But kinda symbolic, I put together the first Night Goblin to be the first step towards a new army for me. Shoddy pic too, but he´s a Goblin and I like Orcs more so.. 
But there it is! I regard my Black Orc Boss from Mordheim to be the proper start really, can´t have a weedy Gobbo being it..
And i have an eleventh model but no base - I will make that Gobbo champion into a Bigboss or Shaman.. And the next step is probably to add another twenty, weedy gitz to this for 30 of the little buggers and then start fixing the 2nd hand stuff I´m getting (hopefully 20 plus boyz, that Warboss on foot and Boar plus some lose boyz, Fanatics perhaps.. We´ll see.. )
Here´s the dude that will be rebased. I like the model and he will be my Grimfang Gogulk for the Whaaagh! The Warboss!

Thanks. I have been slow but was on vacation and kinda went back to my aircraft models after the Mordheim stuff.. Though I did get those O&Gs when i was away!   19 or so Night Goblins unpainted. Not cleaned up. Seems like most people in my gaming groups don´t. And i am anal about it. It takes time but I cannot not clean up the mould lines.... Will be painful with a horde army! Some painted gobbis.. Should I strip them?? The orcs are glued weirdly... Will be hard to fix some. But the arms are fine. I might just use what can be salvaged and mix in 40k bodies. But i want some of the WFB, legs, torsos etc. The Warboss on boar - I want the BsB I guess... Hmm.. I´ll see how I fix that. The spider riders are on sprues mostly. Looks like it can take a while to build and paint. But nice to have some fast shit! Battle for Skull Pass?  I don+´t think the Shaman is there.. But i can konvert ione of the musicians, gong-basher, into one.. Replace the instrument with a staff.. The dude with a squig is a Bigboss? if so, I have some characters already! Maybe easier to go with just Goblins for a while! |

Going forward - I am thinking about that "big", 30 Night Goblin unit.. Then start another? Since I have spare command... Later... But that big units (I am more into 6th Ed really and 30 is more fine there than 30 in 8th, right?).
Then I am seriously considering those 24 Squigs and some handlers... A shaman, big boss.. Spider Riders after that? And later Orcs, 20, BSB, some hero... More support... Dunno... hehe. All suggestions are great!

I was real glad to find out that an IPA-bath made the plastic glue brittle and I could take apart the piggy! I will use the great weapon parts for the BSB on foot instead. Either as a BSB or a unit standard, I don´t have one. Nor a musician.. The boyz need to take a longer bath, loads of glue.. But at the very least, I hope to get some bitz off.... The Boar Boy might be earmarked for Mordheim. But the BSB is for WFB!

The growing "army", hehe.. But! There is a Bigboss and a shaman - felt pretty clever with that conversion! Switched the skull top from the gong-basher to the staff and used the mushrooms for the hand. Pretty clever - and cheap?  Was about to make these boyz for Mordheim, with bows.. But then I realized I have four boyz with axr & sword I did not even use.. Give them bows and use these for WFB? I don´t even have 20 boyz so probably smart.. Getting a 40k box of Ork boyz can push that to 25 or so.. Then they might become useful!  |

Thanks. Damn, you can have a Night Goblin BSB in 8th?? Not sure I could in 6th..? Just realized that, and I have that standard from Skull Pass! Third character is in! So a Bigboss, Shaman and BSB - thta´s great! And I still have command left for a second NG unit.... |

Not really started to paint again - yet.. Just some clean-up and gluing.. That Warboss ona Boar.. I was so glad to get that and the one on foot. But i have no real plan for him! Kinda think Mordheim, but realistically, that will be tough to get that Boar.. I struggle to break even..! And I don´t have more Boars and I´m not a huge fan of the Savage Orc Boar Boy models... But i have thought about getting abox and graft Boyz-bodies to them... :/ But is it worth it? The effort? I never bought that box with those two models. Something made me not like them, then. They look a little simple and a little off. And I still feel a little that way. The head with the huge horns for example, is no bigger than a normal boy´s head. The legs moulded to the boar looks cheap.. But I like them now - and I´m glad I got it finally! Rough mould lines though, it took a long time to clean up the boar.  Was about to give him the axe and sword but since you cannot use that in 8th Ed (I think you can in Mordheim but I am not sure....)  I used the Boss head from the orc Warriors. Better detailed. Thought about grafting the bigger ´ornz to this but they were slightly thicker, it seems. I risked messing it up (I wanted to keep the inner things on this head) Shield from that Boss too, I like it more.  But what do I do with him? Can he be useful on his own? Maybe in the smaller, escaltion games I play. I can´t even remember if her can join boyz on foot. In that case, I will take him like this! |

Hehe, and I cleaned up another Standard bearer - he will be the BSB, for now..  So, Shaman, BSB, Boss, units standard, musician/gong-basher, Bigboss - on the cheap.. I just need to cleanup the rest of the NGs.. That will do for smaller battles, 30 plus those characters.. Three Fanatics too of course..
I plan to use the four - plus fifth I have, Gobling squig herders - plus another standard and gong-basher and something else for my, probably, brand new Squig Herd I will get. Two boxes, I have four. The army is kinda weird.. I looked over the rest of the used stuff and I can deffo do ten Spider Riders, maybe even an eleventh (a shaman?) I have 10-12 Black orcs, might get another box.. It is boyz, then chariots and artillery I lack.. But points wise, I have stuff to assemble that can be played at around 750p plus. Just not super balanced/effective. But fakk that.. |
