Almost took two fucking moths to get that from Uk to Sweden..  But nice additions. 5 boyz for my spear Orcs, five for the two choppa mob. Just need to strip and clean them. The chariot looks fine but i´ll strip the krew. Spear is broken and there are mould lines.. And the colours don´t fit. But I´ll leave the chariot, for now atleast. Just need to fix scythes but the harness can be like that (incomplete)  |

Right?  No tails for the poor piggies though.. And the dude that glued the boyz, did not know how to do it.. Seen it before where they glue them like, with straight backs.. Looks like shit, but I can take them apart or saw in two and fix..  |

I really like seeing army grow (and especially grow organically with painted models being added before hordes and hordes of grey), and yours is looking to be a might force.
Are you going to keep the arrer boyz as such or are you going to convert them into melee oriented ones?
Do people even use arrer boyz? I don't think I've ever seen them fielded in almost 2 decades of this hobby

Thanks. Not been that much painted the last month.. Still have my Spider Rider riders with the basic skin colour.. But will get on it.. Ah yeah, I´m going to keep them as Arrer Boyz! I like those models and also planend to use a couple for Mordheim, perfect Henchmen when i don´t have crossbows. They are unique and with fun fluff so will come in as a ten man unit as soon as they are painted (right after those Spider Riders!) and I plan to get 10-20 plus full command later. Might not be the best but I like them. They are not bad, still Orcs with choppas and can send some arrows on da weedy gitz. Right now I am cleaning them up, pretty visible mould lines. Started there but stripped the others. Might strip the rest before cleaning the mould lines up though...
I have their background as being a remnant of the Mordheim boyz, the core of the army (I will probably use three maybe four, there). So fits well. |

I always liked the Arrer boys sculpt. They are only 7 points as well and still T4 with choppas rule.

If they could it would be a no brainer due to the parry save and there would be no real reason to take normal boys (only 1 point cheaper) so it makes sense they can't. Orc boy with shield is 7 points, same as an arrer boy. It should be noted that Savage Orcs can be upgraded to have bows (1 point) and shields (1 point) so it's possible to have commando Bow and shield Savage Orcs at 10 points a model. The Arrer boy boss upgrade at 10 points grants BS 4 which is the equal best shooting skill in the army alongside Gitilla the Hunter! |

Yeah, the Arrer Boyz look cool, don´t they. I need to pick up a few of those 7th Ed Direct only metal ones too..
Damn, maybe i need some Savage Orcs now, with all that. Pretty cool. Avoided them as I did not like the old models and everyone has them so.. But I probably need a mob at some point..

Still kinad unproductive, painting-wise. but i have cleaned up and fixed the two choppa boyz. twenty of them. Wish I had more but i don´t, now.. And i thought the extra five with spears would be unrecoverable - but they can all be fixed. I´ll just have to clean them up, the primer and mould lines plus the remnants of the superglue that dude used.. Glad i get another five spear boyz!    Some of my fav heads too (the soft cap! I´ll paint the ten Arrer Boyz first though. But might do these extra spear-orcs at the same time. |

FFor me, that was quite fast cleaning those five up..  The parts looked pretty awful though so, alot of mould line removing and super glue scraping.. Weird spending so much time on individual, cheap models.. But i can´t, not do it.. I glued the shield arms before painting this time.  |

Some good & clean results. What did you use to strip the colors? I use a mix of isoprop and glas cleaner, but struggle with sprayed primer.

I used pure IPA, as that is what i have, hehe. It comes off nicely with the toothbrush and the super glue becomes a little brittle, sometimes. But if i run into tougher paint I might get other stuff? So far it has worked out okaY! Especially the ones I painted myself, I used Mr Hibby and Citadell primer plis Citadell paints on those and that came off nceily! Just stripped and started to clean up the pig Wagon krew.. Felt the other guy deserved a whip too (for the gobbos! Not the pigs..) And his spear was broken so got another, spare one..  Figured i would prime them, the spear Orcs and Arrer Boyz at the same time so cleaning it all up.. |
