Naggaroth’s most fearsome murderer’s have been called upon to trek across the Great Plains to the mystical land of Schaumburg in search of blood. Warriors, Sellswords, Witches and beasts gather at the camp of Morgantha Fellsworn, the Malevolent of the Dark Convent and the Matron of Har Ganeth(L4 Sorceress on Dark Pegasus), in hopes of winning her favor and being hand selected by the wicked sorceress to join her ranks for the Blood in the Badlands tournament. Morgantha is cruel, battle tested, highly capable in the Dark Arts and is the acting Matron of Har Ganeth, taking orders only from Hellebron herself. She commands her forces as she rides Erebus, her loyal Dark Pegasus who’s hide is as black as Morgantha’s heart. Any Dark Elf would be honored to be chosen by the Malevolent to kill and die under her command. Thousands would come to show their worth, but few would earn this venerable right.
The easiest of choices was to enlist Har Ganeth’s own Hagatha Bloodseeker (Hag BSB on Cauldron of Blood) and her tribe of witches with the moniker Fleshrippers (25 Witch Elves). As second in command, Hagatha is entrusted to carry Morgantha’s colors into battle, but the Bloodseeker is unwilling to set down her blades nor the concoction she boils up for her battle crazed sisters to tote around a sheet tied to a pole on the battlefield! However, the Twisted Crown she wears upon her head as she stands atop the Lord of Murder’s Chariot is revered by the Druchii and is sure to embolden any Dark Elf who sees it.
Then next group of to earn a spot in Morgantha’s forces was a group of warriors known as Khaine’s Harbingers of Death (22 Executioners). They, as well, hail from Har Ganeth and Morgantha has witnessed their ferocity first hand many times. They will be joined in battle by an unassuming sorcerer named Animus Umbrage (L1 Sorcerer). Though he has not fully mastered his mystical craft yet, his brazen aggressiveness and wily strategies more than make up for his magical shortcomings.
What army is complete without some type of savage beast to strike terror upon their foes? Certainly not a Dark Elf army, and that is why Morgantha called upon the beastmasters of Clar Karond for 2 of the most horrid beasts suitable for traveling with an army. What was returned to her was Torment and Reaper (Reaper pictured above), 2 hydras each capable of decimating entire units themselves. Wonderful pets for a sinister general to control while at war.
Likewise, some ghastly mechanisms would be needed to lay waste to foes from afar. The Witch King, Malekith himself, gifted Morgantha 2 finely tuned devices from Naggarond that he named Tears of Sorrow. Bolt throwers crafted by high elf slaves and perfected by Dark Elf engineers to make them capable of sowing as much bloodshed as possible.
Here is my answer to McNuggs post of dainty little high elves. I’ve got plenty more to go and the narrative is just copied and pasted from what I had set as my write up for A-Con so apologies if it’s a little off. Open to any and all critiques and suggestions for improvement (the bolt thrower crew are not fully finished yet. They will be replaced tho so hold off on giving me a hard time about them at least.
Thanks for taking a look, hope you enjoy and can provide some feedback.
