With 2024 being the year of the Dragon, I'm embarking on a project I've been planning for almost half a decade now. I'm going to paint as many dragons as I can over the coming year, with a minimum of 1 dragon per month. This is a mad task, I know, but I'm very excited for it. This is my planned list of dragons: 1) Tzeentch Dragon Rider ■ 2) Undivided Dragon Rider ■ 3) Nurgle Dragon Rider ■ 4) Malekith on Seraphon □ 5) Tamurkhan the Maggot Lord □ 6) Khorne Scorpion Dragon Rider □ 7) Orc Lord on Wyvern □ 8) Vuur, Bane of Krakus □ 9) 30th Anniversary Reaper Dragon □ 10) Asarnil the Dragon Lord □ 11) High Elf Dragon □ 12) Slaanesh Dragon Rider □ Bonus Dragons: 1) Dreadlord on Black Dragon ■ 2) Young Fire Dragon ■ 3) Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon ■ I've also got a bunch of other dragons from a variety of manufacturers and a fairly large pile of citadel dragons in need of repair. Any month when I finish one of the planned dragons early, I'll tackle one of these others. I've begun the first dragon, a converted chaos dragon with an Undivided chaos lord riding him. I hope you all enjoy!

Hell yeah go for 2 in January given you have already finished one.
Lovely twin headed dragon btw. Looks sweet in that red colourscheme.

With 100% of the vote (1/1 thanks grandmasterwang ) I'll be starting a second dragon for this month. As stated in the intro post, this is a bonus dragon so it'll be a repair job. In this case, an old citadel S dragon. He's missing his left leg (though thankfully not the foot), so I'll need to sculpt that. And I've decided I'll paint him up with a Dark Elf rider. The rider is easy, just a classic cold one knight champion with a lance arm. Here's a photo of the gathered pieces:

Oop Cold One champion suits that dragon well.

Oop Cold One champion suits that dragon well. Thanks, he definitely looks the part with his little dragon hatchling. Decided to go for a lance instead of his usual sword, I really like the way those old dark elf lances look.

Amazing program, and incredible variety of worms. Which wyvern model are you going to paint? Also very curious to see Tamurkhan and his toad (if that is what you have).

Good choice with the rider, given that the saddle with that dragon is the one from the Malekith on Dragon kit.
Never a bad day to paint a dark elf!

masterofnone Thanks, yeah, I'm very excited about the variety as well. For the Wyvern, I've got a toy Wyvern that I plan to convert with a saddle and some good orky bits. For the rider it'll be the middlehammer Azhag. And my Tamurkhan is indeed the FW one, I paid far too much money for it a couple years ago. vulcan Good spot there on the saddle, yeah, this dragon came in a big DE lot and I'm sure was originally the Malekith dragon, but Malekith and all the metal Black Dragon parts were missing. Thankfully, because I bought it as part of a big lot I paid essentially $1.50 for this dragon.

Can't argue with the price!
Nice job on the sculpting of the leg. I can't wait to see this one painted.

Finally making some progress on the Black Dragon. Sorry it took a while, but, I realized that while I own a huge army of Dark Elves, I didn't have enough of them painted to field a dragon lord. So, I've spent the last ten or so days painting up 20 something Dark Elves and now I'll be able to field this dragon when he's finished. Anyways, here's the first WiP shot:

A nice painting session today later and the Dragon himself is done. Rider is next.
