Last up for today, some Chaos Wastes flavored scenery. A cool carved out monument to Slaanesh: A big sacrificial flat rock: A set of volcanic steam vents: Each piece has some Northern Wastes flavor to it... blackish, rocky, no green grass.

***I am going to go back and re-take some of those pics. I thought they looked good, but between putting them on photobucket and then re-posting here... Ick. Or, who really cares - I guess you'll just have to see them in person. (they do look good, swearsies).

Those do look awesome, Wilson! I love the Wood Elf Treehouse! These are some pallets of foliage that I picked up from Hobby Lobby. They snap off easy and are just about the right size for heavy foliage. This is how I used some of them. I attached them with a little green stuff and superglue.

ValueTown. So much foliage for your consumer dollar.

Scenery Pics, Volume II. I realized a small staged scene helps, and a few minis helps you gauge the size of the scenery. First, here's those Chaos pieces again, with some Dragon Ogres and a Slaanesh DudeBoss on Horsie for scale. One (1) Evil Monument and (1) Volcanic Vent. Next is a Fortified Settlement, manned by Grungi's finest white & blue stunties: This set encompasses about 10 pieces of various stone wall and fences. Next, a set of 3 Scrubland pieces with Skeleton Archers coming out of the Dead Marshes: These pieces have like three different components, I usually play them as very difficult terrain. Next, a set of 3 Castle Ruins. These have a human warband scampering through them, obv about to get owned by something bigger than they are. The 2 pieces are just blockades - for for LOS and movement. The 1 piece can work as a bullwark / quasi-building. Speaking of places to put War Machines... Here is a set of 2 Stone Bulwarks. What else to put on these, Dwarf Cannons! Lastly, Here's a mini (staged) battle scene between some Warriors of Chaos and some Wood Elfs. These are the same trees as I posted before. This is the same Sacrificial Stone Table as before. And the edge of the ruins, shown above. My money is on the Troll.

I loved the terrain until you played AoS on it.

Ah Rick got me with the Zing of the day... of the week. Esp on the EEFL boards. But srsly, RE: AoS shenanigans being called: no round bases means it is totally legal!

Great looking scenery pieces. I actually really like a lot of GW scenery kits. I always wanted (and still do) a set of Citidel trees and a Chapel.

Dwarf idol, made for me by dannytee. I've had this for several years and I decided it needed to get a weathering treatment. It's made entirely of 1" foam and was originally intended to be an arcane fulcrum. Arcane Ruin, obtained in a trade with avatarofbugman. This got a more advanced weathering treatment, blood, verdigris, etc.

Games Workshop Graveyard: This piece was released many years ago as a single foam casting, painted gray and some static grass added. Before: After: Pretty damn good for something that's been kicking around my game room for years, unloved. Does it need more static grass/flocking? In games it is a haunted house.

The graveyard looks amazing. I dont think it needs any more flock. What you have done with the dirt looks great!
Regarding Scenery, i have a fond memory of my one of my noble dwarf units fighting and dying to a man to protect a "dwarven alehouse" from the foul undead who had them flanked and outnumbered. Good unbreakable drunk dwarfs. In that battle this specific bit of scenery proved incredibly useful.

Good for Mordheim or as part of a wall/fence setup.

I’m reviving this old topic with my new graveyard terrain. These were given to me by wilsonthenarc and are 3D printed. I modeled the hills with pink foam and filler, added sand, and a quick paint job. The most difficult part was getting glue to hold the tombstones down. Superglue melted right through the pink foam so I had to use some hot glue and 3 applications of PVA at the join. Enjoy.

Lovely!
About time we got a terrain log (even though this is several years old!). Some nice ideas in this thread that I will be stealing.
For gluing foam I use No-Nails glue (at least that's what it's called in the UK). I use this stuff for loads of things actually, because it holds it's shape you can spread it into nice textures and it drys hard.
