I would hope that, in time, we could update the other Army Books in dire need of that, and eventually have a list of fan-made works to bring the game to a sort of 8.1 state; maybe some accepted revisions to the core rules, but mostly just fixing the woefully imbalanced army book situation so anyone who's interested in 8th can dive in and enjoy any of the races out there, instead of being stuck with the ones GW gave the most attention to.

I updated the original post, to be more clear about what EEFL is. FYI.

So, I went to a forum I used to frequent (http://tomb-kings.net/) to re-read some 8th tactica. Their forums have been reconfigured - A section for AoS Tactica and AoS Rules Discussion A section for KoW Tactica and AoS Rules Discussion A section for 9th age...
FRIGG. 8th Edition for LIFE.

Yeah, I don't really see much activity there anyway, sad to say. I really liked their forum too. Especially the BatReps section. Well, maybe some 8th edition TK players will just start coming here more frequently now.

Now with the 9th age having become increasingly alien by the day, keeping the Warhammer Fantasy 8th edition (and thus the Olde Worlde on tabletop) alive is pretty much critical. I really hope we can someday rebuild a strong international Warhammer Fantasy community (To be frank, I would be ecstatic if we can ever reach a tenth the traffic of Warhammer.com.uk during its peak 🤓!)

The HE factoon at ulthuan.net is still quite active but they seem to be the last. Empire still responds, skaven and orcs are quite dead.

Its because its fan made. You can't please everyone. No matter what you do, you can never please everyone. But that's normal and it's ok.
8th edition WFB is so fucking awesome I can't stand it. I Love it so much, there is such a great overall element that just makes it work despite maybe 1 or 2 flaws? In my eyes, I would not change anything.
The only alternative I thought was ok was warhammer armies project. Its still warhammer fantasy, but a combination of 3 our 4 different editions of rules. Plus Elias Matthiason actually changed 2 things because of posts on his blog I made, he gave Shadow warriors the ability to upgrade to have 2 hw, which is fluffy right? And fits the models imo. And he also took out a wide frontage rule and up to a +3 outnumber rule which he changed to a flat +1 if you double the enemy models or unit strength, can't remember it's been like 1 year lol.

I like the Lizardmen website, Lustria.org. They still have quite a few active players there and several (really good!) modelers. I've got an order in with one of them right now (who made my Croxigor) for a new Saurus Oldblood on Coldone. (Super stoked about that!) They are quite active and I usually have around 10 replies or likes soon after I post. It reminds me of the way Warhammer-Empire used to be several years ago. W-E is totally dead now. There are only a few core people there who only talk with each other.

No GW needed! A Lizardman player make that. He's amazing. I've already bought three Croxigor from him and painted them up. These are the Crox I got from him: I'm totally psyched over getting this new creation of his! Check out that optional head with the plume!

I'm pretty sure that he 3D printed them. He's got a serious backlog of orders though. He's the only one making them and has had to get all the kinks worked out with printers, distribution, etc. But all things considered, he's done a TON better than a lot of kickstarter campaigns I've funded before. I keep a close eye on his blog and if he produces anything new, you can bet that I'm signing up for it as quickly as possible.
