True. I could see a whole DE Black Arks vs the Gates at Lothern on Ulthuan. So classic.

Love the TW series and the Warhammer games are beautiful fun... now if only they could have added point buy listbuilding and a turn based-system... Anyhow between this and the 3rd edition of the TTRPG coming out (set in the Old World) I am very happy to see the Hobby as it was meant to be remain defiant to the very end!

Table top role playing game... an unfortunate naming convention for the younger crowds now that we have computer games to muddy the waters.

Don't forget Black Library still selling all the Old Fantasy books and GW still licensing out the IP for more games, two of which are a upcoming survival game from Big Ben studios and another Warhammer quest game. Rountree remains faithful to his word that he wants to bring old fans back.

Also, am I the only one who dislikes the Bretonnia add-ons like the Squires and RoR Beastslayers? (Armored peasants with greatswords and knight-armored peasants that kill monsters)
I know they're made for the complaining crowd outnumbering the lore-faithfuls but boy do they leave a sour taste in my mouth when Bretonnia already had answers to infantry anvils and monsters.

I'm not mad keen on them but they are super simple to remove if you do wish. Someone has almost certainly already done it

Oh, I can just ignore them without mods at all. Just me being a Bretonnian purist. I wish CA used that high fantasy stuff instead from the 2010 fest. It was a concept page but showed Bretonnia with Grail companions on mythical beasts, flying ships and moving archer towers in the shapes of horses and covered in Heraldry. Not to mention the BRB fluff blurbs of spirit archers, mysterious knights and the wood elf book showing wood elf knights venturing in Bretonnia. But peasants....that's fun too.

Steam have this on sale until Thursday. In the UK it’s 66% off (so £13.59 instead of £39.99). We’ll worth getting for that price if you can run the game on your rig.

My laptop decided early last year that it wasn't going to play TWW2 any more Good for getting painting done, but I miss playing it. Since the laptop is 6.5 years old and was never a gaming one to start with, maybe it's time to upgrade... will need to persuade my wife of that one.
