An update! After seeing the Total War 2 cinematic- it got me revved on painting my elves. Pardon the dark pics. I am doing the elves the colours of Eataine. I did these guys earlier in my latest foray into the painting aspect of the hobby. I can see a few things that I would pay more attention to now (for instance the gems). I often have a gradient of quality throughout my regiments as I get the hang of things and don't go back to fix the first guys

your elves look great!
Don't go back and retouch your models, use it as a benchmark to measure yourself by. Be proud of how far your painting has come!

On my way to finishing the regiment of 8. - From the battalion box set - That horse in the middle is begging for some liquid green stuff - i cannot unsee this. Prob ok to fill that in and just paint over ? Ooh also forgot a highlight here and there blah I already took the pics ~! When the regiment is complete I'll do a go through for touchups.

Very nice Silver Helms, love the colour scheme.
I imagine Liquid Green Stuff and a paint over would sort that out (although I have never actually used the liquid variety). I really need to do that to my Dire Wolves, they have gaps all over them. Does Liquid Green Stuff work well?

I have used it sparingly to cover up small gaps like that and it has worked for me - ill post up a pic of the cover up when its done

I had problems with liquid green stuff staying adhered to the model when I tried it out. Admittedly the only thing that I've tried to use it for is to fill bubbles on that awful finecrap stuff when it was first released. THe greenstuff kept popping out of the bubbles and I ended up just using superglue to fill it in.
I fully admit it could just have easily been user error or a bad batch though. I need to give it a try again as I really like the idea of it for small projects and it seems like I have more of those lately than big ones.

Back at it! I have been doing some here and there but haven’t been taking pics. Have been playing plenty of Total War Warhammer 2 which has been giving me painting fuel. Got two skaven vs dwarfs games in a few weeks back. Had been awhile! Lost both but I had a fairly fluffy list and had some challenges manoeuvring the big blocks around the field effectively. The Grey Seer is “Skitternip Youngtail” and in our gaming group is a reoccurring character. Pretty much in the mold of Thanquol. Whenever something goes wrong it’s someone else’s fault / also when he is taken out of the battle in our canon he just skitterleaps outta there to fight another day. His biggest accomplishment is Crack’s Calling down a treeman muhahaha- a lowlight was. miscast explosion in a tight packed area of fellow rats cooking a whole crew of’em on a low power cast.

hey! more of the sweet Bretonnians. maybe doing a few simple head swaps would give a little variety to the archers?

You're making it hard for me to resist starting a Bretonnia army. Your knights and peasants are beautiful.
