For the next month or so, Eagle River. I'll be moving to the Muldoon area next month. I usually play with a buddy at the Dimond Bosco's because he owns cats and cats try to kill me (literally--I'm damn near deathly allergic to them).

haha I'm allergic too! my buddy also has a pair of cats but we play in his garage (detached from the house) so it's safe. I didn't realize that the Dimond Boscos (the one in the mall?) had tables to play at.
My buddy works in a week on/week off kind of schedule so we usually play on like a Friday and the following Monday every couple of weeks.
I'll PM you with my contact info; I'm always happy to have more opponents to play with. We should arrange to get together sometime.
What armies do you play?

Yeah, they have a space up on the floor above their shop. You go up the escalators and around the ice rink. It's not a large space but there are three tables set up in there for minis games, and some tables for D&D and Magic.
My baby, my pride and joy, is my Empire army. I have a goal to paint 1,000 state troops. I own them. I just need to paint them. I'm about a third of the way there. But I also have, in various states of building/in packaging: Warriors of Chaos, Dwarves, High, Dark, and Wood Elves, Bretonnia, Vampire Counts, Lizardmen... and I think that's it... most of my stuff is packed up for moving at the moment. I may or may not have a problem. Don't you judge me. I can stop whenever I want.
My Elven armies are actually kind of a mixed army. My plan was to collect enough to play 2,000-2,500 of each with just models from those factions, but paint them up like they're all in Athel Loren during the End Times. But I'm not sure what I want to do with them now. I'm pretty sure I'll still paint them the same way, but I'm not sure about mixing them together.
Also, I own all the books except Skaven and Demons. I'll probably try and pick those up eventually. And I'll probably eventually try to get around to an army for all of the books. Because reasons.

Nice to see another addict! 1000 state troops is something I'd love to see.
Daniel (who I play with) is building his empire up to 20,000 points. He's over halfway there... he also plays Tomb Kings and Ogres.
I for the most part play the Chaos races, I have WoC, Skaven, Beastmen, and am about to start up Nurgle Daemons once I finish building and painting a few warbands for some Mordheim I have coming up. I also dabble in Dwarfs (around 5000 points) and have 10,000 points of Dark Elves sitting in boxes in the closet; those have just been eBay purchases that were too good to pass up - usually people with armies where the models were unassembled/still in boxes. I'm planning to get to them after the Daemons. I also have around 1000 points in Ogres and a bunch of random stuff for lizardmen - neither one is an army yet. I have basically zero core for either army all the units I possess for both are characters/special/rare units and monsters.
Shoot me a line the next time you guys are playing I'll try and swing by and meet you guys in person!
Ryan

Oh young Padawan....you have far to go before you...."have a problem". I'd say that most of the members here are at least close, if not far beyond, your collecting point. I myself have around 14,000 pts in Empire alone. I currently have 10 armies, the smallest of which is 2000 pts now. Half of them are over 10K points. If collecting, painting, or playing is your thing to do, then you, my friend, are in the right place! P.S. - 1000 State Troops is nutty though! (I assume that's not including, Greatswords, Huntsmen, Flagellants, Teutogen Guard, etc.?)

I do count greatswords as state troops. Basically I was going with anything that could be a parent unit in the 8th edition army book. Which does include archers. Though there aren't a ton of those. I suppose we could argue about whether some units count or not, but that was my primary criterion. But none of the other stuff you mentioned is counted in there. I'm actually kind of sad now that I didn't pick up more of the new flagellant kit. Although Tuetogen guard would totally count (greatswords) but I ain't payin' the genuinely ludicrous price people want for those things.
Also, we're playing some 40K on the 17th at 10:30 am at the Dimond Bosco's if you want to stop by and say hi.

I don't check this forum regularly on the weekend so I didn't see this until Sunday night We'll have to try again some other time.

We are still in the situation that there are more people from Vietnam here than from Belgium...so much for world dominance by the Waffle Brigade.

Which island? I just got back from Kaua'i from a vacation and loved the experience. I have to admit I was wondering if there there was a gaming store on that island I could check out. Gary
