Well, I felt like one while painting them. Especially the ones with coffin lids(?) on their backs. Unnecessary and confusing detail that doesn't add anything to the model. Hehehe I have to say, young Mottdon, that your painting is an excellent standard! Your quote about feeling like a zombie made me laugh & I can emphasised! Having painted over 100 empire state troops I know exactly how you feel! I've got a tomb kings box coming, so I need to figure out the quickest way to paint up my skellies Lol, I haven't been called "young" in a LOOONG time! Thanks for that! And thank you for the compliment! And you should probably check out my Empire thread, if that's your jam! Empire is my main army (out of 12 - soon to be 13 as soon as TOW Brets are released), rounding out somewhere around 12,000 (give or take - it's been a while since I added them all up). Now you have me wanting to paint some Empire! That might have to be next on my agenda, after I finish the Tiranoc Chariot I'm currently working on (should finish that up today). BTW, the fastest way to paint Skeletons (and have them look good) is to start by zenithal priming your models. I'd recommend going with a grey or beige base primer, with white zenithal primer over top. (There's lots of YouTube videos on how to properly do it.) After that, use Contrast Paints over the whole thing. Once that dries, you could drybrush over if you want to get a tad more "finished" look. After that, it's just picking out details like shields, bows, or spears. Easy!
