Sorry, I've been away getting ready for a move in the next week. I love this though! I will attempt to get an Ancient Treeman done for a friend of mine. We'll see beyond that. I suppose it'll depend on how quickly I can get everything unpacked.

No welching! I expect to see them all done Sir, I have to finish a certain Teclis first. And then play a huge battle between High Elves vs Empire. And picture report it. Frankly, with the Marksmen as detailed as the later Sigmarine models, I would be ecstatic if I finish about 12 dudes at the end of the month (and even that would require tremedous discipline and dedication).

I'll try to get to work on my Treeman soon. I've got a big moving push coming up on Saturday and my wife and I have been packing everything up. Around 300 boxes now. Saturday is gonna kill me.

I've got the bases and the first drybrush stage finished on my next 20 rats! Tonight it's block painting clothing and if I still have time...highlighting clothing.

I have been busy basecoating my Dire Wolves.. man I am sick of painting bone and gore. Not helped by the fact I was not happy with the skin tone I went for and re-did it all. Then I was also not happy with the gaps I had left unfilled so re-did all that with Liquid Greenstuff (first attempts with this). This created a bit more mess I had to go back over.
Happy to be through the tedious basecoat now, can start to do the bits of painting I enjoy more

you can do it!
I'm trying not to look at those gaps in the neck of the horses of my marauder horsemen I know what you mean. But I have no idea how I painted those horses so there is no going back and touching up the paint if I were to fill those gaps I'd have to repaint those horses and I DON'T want to do that.

Question: Do we want to create new threads each month or should we keep a single thread rolling on?
The question then becomes, how long is too long with regards to the length of a thread before we want to start a new one?

You guys are painting machines! Especially ryryak. He did 40 minis in under a month. I am happy when I do 40 minis in a year! LOL! You'll also be mad to know I'm on track to finish another 20 by Sunday. And I'm only working on these for a couple hours each night M-TH and then about half a day either Saturday or Sunday before they're done... I think I was a little off in my time estimates though; each batch start to finish (start is after priming, finish is waiting to be sealed) is about 13 hours worth of work. Still comes out to less than an hour per model so I'm happy. This is the first time I've ever tried to speed paint an army and so far it's working well. Also it's appropriate considering that 13 is the Skaven sacred number. I'll take my time with the warmachines and the characters though. Perhaps the front couple ranks of stormvermin will also receive additional attention when the time comes to work on them. I'm hoping to have a 2000 point army completely painted by...the end of September. Now that it's out there I have to make it happen...right? It'll be: 140 clanrats/slaves 40 stormvermin 20 giant rats 4 packmasters 2 warp lightning cannons hellpit abomination grey seer chieftan 3 engineers 2 weapon teams 9 gutter runners In about 5 months total work.
