nice blue. really works. and the extra guy with the banner is cool too.
The model itself I find a bit strange as a concept. How many of these birds get accidentally shot by their own skycutter?

Lol, they're elves, man! They're too skilled to make dunderhead mistakes like that!
The idea was that I could use it as a BSB option, Blot Thrower, or plain 3-man option. All are represented in some way.

I like what you did on the 3 way option. I’ll be nicking that idea 😉. I haven’t built mine yet until I have a permanent place to store it. It just looks like it will break as soon as you look at it, no matter about transporting it!

Well, I did magnetize both the boat and Roc to their flight stands. It definitely needs magnets. Extremely fragile.

Wish I'd seen your idea before I'd built mine Yours looks great - the blue, the little conversions, and the colours on the banner.

Thanks! I was a little uneasy about using the "seafoam green" with the army blue, but I like the end result. The blue will be the army color and seafoam green, the Lothern Sea Guard colors. I mean for each HE unit to have specific faction colors.
I'm planning on using it as a highly moble BSB, in a game with my wife soon, so we'll see how well it works.

Love what you've done with the skycutter. The blue scheme looks excellent and I like the green coming through the banner too.
I like skycutters, I want to get one at some point. The sea helm you get with it is cool too

Thanks, guys! I really like the Sea Helm too. I have one on my other Skycutter. The big problem, at least initially, is that you have to choose whether or not to put him on the Skycutter or on foot. Once you have at least one on either, you're covered, though.
I only have two, but I ultimately want three. Three strafing Skycutters just sounds so cool to me!

Can they be magnetised for both options? I suppose you could, but it'd be really tricky. Magnetizing a foot soldier is kinda difficult, due to the small points of contact, and you can't simply leave him on a 20mm base because it wouldn't fit in the boat. You'd probably have to drill a hole and place a magnet in the base and boat, the attach some kind of metal that would have an appropriate gauge in order to have enough attraction. Then somehow manage to cut it small enough so that it wouldn't show beneath his foot....so, yeah, possible, but NOT easy.

Imo it actually looks more majestic with the 3 guys up there.

Imo it actually looks more majestic with the 3 guys up there. I actually felt like three guys filled it out more appropriately. I had to use an alternative head on the spear one to keep with the "flowing locks" theme of this crew. All the other head options had helms.

Love what you've done with the skycutter. The blue scheme looks excellent and I like the green coming through the banner too. I felt like using the seafoam green with the blue was a gamble, but after I finished it there was enough contrast to justify the color selection. Looks better in person though. I'm keeping with the blue and creme theme throughout the army, but each unique unit will have a special unit color (Sea Guard - Seafoam Green, Silver Helms - Purple, White Lions - White, Phoenix Guard - Red, etc.). Sets them apart more than just the weapon their carrying.
