Your paint work on the boney areas is what I am aspiring to. +3 points.
What's your color layers and order process?

Well, I'm glad you like it! It's pretty simply, really.
3 layers: Baneblade Brown, Agra Earthshade (wash) and Rakarth Flesh (drybrush). Heavy up the wash near the base of the horn and heavy on the drybrushing near the tip.

I love your lizards.
You had me searching ebay today for a lizardmen army.
I don't have the time right now to be painting ANOTHER army...
I need to play these guys though. Seriously. Great work. And I love your simple/easy/effective paint schemes/techniques. It's quick and effective. This is something I'm striving to do with my beastmen right now.
Keep it up!

I finished my first 20 Saurus Warriors last night! Only about 40 more to go!

Have any of you guys seen this Slann before? Thoughts?

So, apparently, it is a 2nd edition Slann. (Back then the entire army were called the Slann.) This particular one doesn't have the Palanequin Bearer slaves, or the "poles" that they carry him with. I'll just use it some other way. I've also got this Games Day Slann coming in and I plan on using him as Lord Mazdamundi. I've also got another Stegadon coming who I'll convert into Zlaaq, his mount.

I just got this Stegadon in the mail yesterday, but I also had someone suggest that I could use this model since it's a little bit bigger than the normal Steg, and Lord Mazdamundi's Zlaaq is supposed to be a little larger than normal. I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand, it would be nice to have him stand out among the rest, but at the same time, I already have this Steg. (I could always make him into a normal Steg and build a Steg-heavy army list [Lord Mazdamundi on Zlaaq, 1 Ancient Steg, and 2 normal Stegs.]) I also think that this model might be a little too...basic? There's not nearly as many horns, scale plates, etc. on him. What do you guys think?

Are you able to put them next to each other for a size comparison? Also if you go with the triceratops, will you adapt the howda for the GW model or scratch build one?

No, I don't have one, but another guy on Lustria Online sent me the link because he is using it for his Mazdamundi. He says it fits on the base (as you can see on the oval base in the pic) but as for height, etc. I don't know.
As for the howda, I'd probably use bit from various kits to custom build one. I might do that anyway, even if I use the normal Steggy. I want LM to stand apart from the rest anyhow.
The more I think about it and look as the models, though, I'm kinda leaning toward just using the normal Steggy and doing a bit more on the base (higher rocks, etc.) and a more impressive howda, as a way of setting him apart. I think that this alternate model will just look too out of place and not as impressive as the GW Steggys.

I’d probably do the same if only because I love the gw steggy model.

I think the GW plastic kit will be better for Mazdamundi's Stegadon as it's more detailed and you can bling it up. That said I like the model you have acquired and think that it would make a great wild stegadon or variant. I'm going to have to look at Tamiya dinosaurs now haha.
