The Minotaur champion can take a magic item and this item gives him heavy armour, a 2++ Ward vs flaming attacks and the unit a 4++ ward vs flaming attacks. I won’t object to the chillhammer rules on the Ghorgons and no problem on meeting. Couldn’t not take the opportunity when it came up! Ah ok, that explains it.

I've slightly amended the list, taking out the Minotaur musician and standard bearer (+ a couple of Gor), to fit in a Razorgor. I'll print out a couple of copies of each list and bring them with me.

The mighty elves ably commanded by GMW and with moral support from his wife and dice rolling skills of JD vanquished the newly formed horde of Bashor the Bloody. Great game and was brilliant meeting another member of the forum. I’ll get a bat rep up at some point.

So I might well be able to get to riot’s event at the beginning of March, so been playing around with lists. As the event is 1800 points and 25% lord/hero allowances, it’s a bit different from what I’m used to. As such I’ve been doing my normal list tinkering and this is the first ‘offering’. (I’m also thinking of running HE as I’ve not played them in years!) Bashor the Bloody - Beastlord - General - Razorgor Chariot, HA, Charmed Shield, Talisman of Preservation, Brass Cleaver, Potion of Strength - 396pts Wargor - BSB - HA, Shield, Beast Banner, Gnarled hide - 206pts Bray Shaman - AHW, Dispel scroll, level 2 lore of Beasts - 137pts 38 Gor - FC, AHW - 329pts Tuskgor Chariot - 80pts Tuskgor Chariot - 80pts 30 b estigor - FC, Standard of Discipline - 405pts 5 Harpies - 55pts Razorgor - 55pts Razorgor - 55pts Total - 1798pts Ok so my general, being such a crucial part of the army, is again being put on his own in a potential cannon fodder situation. Do I care, no. I had such fun with this unit against grandmasterwang, that I’m dying to bring him again. Having the biggest baddest beast riding around on the biggest chariot, lording it up over the lesser beasts just seems right 😀. I have changed up his equipment though, giving him a Charmed shield and Pot of Strength for a bit more survive ability and one turn of very high strength attacks (something he lacked before). The bsb is the standard build but because of the lack of the Ramhorn Helm in the list I was actually able to give him the 2+ save for once. It’s a shame that I find the beast banner so great that it’s an auto take in almost all my lists, even at the expensive cost but I do and it is. In the main, I decided to forgo magic in the list. Not taking a level 4 is somewhat risky but I still wanted some magic options, so a level 2 was taken as a scroll caddy. I went with Beasts due to the +1 modifier when casting onto the army. It just makes getting spells off a bit easier. The rest of the list is fairly standard. A large block of Gor, a few chariots and some chaff. I was playing around with not taking Beastigor and instead taking a Ghorghon or Minotaurs but they are just so reliable compared to the mino’s and I felt the list needed an additional block of troops.

Ooooh. I like that list a lot!
That potion of strength could prove to be a very unpleasant surprise for Bashor's foes. I think this sneaky little enhancement could make a big difference in certain matchups.
The Bestigor unit is fearsome at under 2000 points and the chariots/Razorgors pose enough of a threat to keep the opponent guessing.
The dispel scroll should come in handy and the shaman just might do something awesome for you.
Great list with lots of units and 3 substantial combat threats (Bashor, Beast Banner gor and Bestigor.
May the beasts feast!

I like a lot this list....a loooooot eheheh Good job! Have you already tried the "crazy" lord on a chariot? how did it perform? My only concern is that if he is targeted by cannons you can risk to lose your hammer and 396pts+100 ( he is your General...) But hey.... who am I to discourage you? sooooo Try and have fun!!
In case you wish I am " working " on a list 1800 ...but I think if I post it I will disappoint you... ( I removed the things you are so proud of...:-( so maybe better not posting...)
Go and cut more heads possible...BUT ...BUT after the competition pleeeeeeeease find some bits ( heads of Lizardmen..Ork ...men..) and glue them on the side of Bashor the Bloody 's chariot as war trophies!!! comeee onnnnnn

I’ve only used him on a chariot once and it was against grandmasterwang and he spent most of the game in combat against a treeman. The lack of strength was telling and it’s one of the reasons he now has the potion of strength. I realise that a cannon will and probably will kill him pretty quickly but I’m not taking him because he is particularly competitive but because it’s a bit fluffy and fun. Oh and he’s not actually on a chariot, I use this miniature from Mierce (on a chariot base). mierce-miniatures.com/store_mierceminiatures/images_product/mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_302_000_01_large.png. But if I have any notable victories, I’ll be sure to add heads to it 😀

I’m still ‘negotiating’ if I can attend. If not I’ll play a similar list against a club member at a later date.

I’ve also been playing around on how I’d expand this this for a 2500 point game (our normal value) and for fun, I’d add the following units:
1* Ghorgon - 275pts 1* Razorgor Chariot - 145pts 5* Centigor + Ghorros Warhoof - 280pts
3 very expensive additions but the list is about taking fun options.
