Thanks, Mr.Salamone.
knoffles, have you played with Agrax Earthshade for making things look grimy? I think it works better than just nuln oil..although you could do one layer each too. I like the concept of the beastlord, how you made him stand out from the unit.

Ooo hadn't thought about that. I'll give that ago, cheers. I suppose i just want something to make the warplock bronze less shiny. Will have a play.

I actually do that on my Dwarves, minus their weapons. For their weapons I use nuln oil. But I do that because I want them to seem as though they just came from underground. It can't be all that clean living under a rock!

knoffles, it depends what sort of effect you are really after. If you want a very orange rust, you are best off stippling on some brown in places, then putting some orange inside that (also stippled). This sort of thing. However, if you are just wanting to weather the warplock bronze and perhaps make it look a bit "brassier" I generally use following method; Warplock Bronze, Drybrush Burnished Gold Agrax Earthshade wash Nihilakh Oxide wash (you can also just use a thinned mix of Sotek & Caliban Green) Dab away any excess Light drybrush Burnished Gold Light drybrush Mithril Silver on extreme edges It looks kind of like this (on the banner poles): i587.photobucket.com/albums/ss316/horace35/P1040256.jpgi587.photobucket.com/albums/ss316/horace35/P1040048.jpgA third option is to use the new technical paint Typhus Corrosion. I have just started experimenting with it, it may not work so well on Warplock Bronze because it is so dark to begin with but you can always give it a go... Here is a GW example of it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nN1tu4pSSig

Very nice, for the banner I would probably just knock one up yourself, it doesn't take very long.
As for the wolf tails, I am in a similar position with my hobgoblin wolf riders (when I get around to them). I was thinking of taking one off an existing wolf I have and casting up some spares with oyumaru & green stuff

Horace many thanks for the plethora of ideas and examples. Will have mull over what to do. P.s. That is a mighty fine painted Dwarf! Your Throng and Naitsabes must be based around the rich seams of the Worlds Edge.

The Wolves have no tails, but that's the way the eBay seller sent it. Oh well. Not a huge deal. what do you mean, not a huge deal? what are they supposed to put between their legs when Grom decides discretion is the better part of valor? I would try to find something appropriate. A mold as suggested would be ideal but maybe you can just cannibalize some spare Bones creature? I like that you've used red sparingly and kept the colors down. Gives the opportunity to make the banner stand out. and, stand out it must for it is the battle standard. No pressure

The Wolves lost their tails because they were flapping too close to Grom's face and reminded him of a delicious meal of Squirrel Stew. On occasion, this results in the Goblin Pit Crew having to find a replacement Wolf team... It has now become necessary to cut the tails from Grom's Wolf team or else he goes nowhere. Besides, the Goblins think it's fun!

With my first comp game on Friday I've finished off the Ungor Raiders to an acceptable tabletop standard (enough to pick up the bonus points for a fully painted army!). I just need to add a few details at some point.

Your pics look fine to me. I think the side view worked better due to the weapon being pointed forward, but you still managed to get the focus on the wizard, which is where it needs to be. Good job on the horns and flames, btw!
