feigned interest makes a marriage successful! I can only get so excited about different rhinestone patterns on gymnastic leotards. I don't expect her to feel much different about the latest dry brushing of some toy soldier fur coat.

Haha I just show the models themselves to my wife when she comes in to check on me I can tell she's being polite and feigning interest but I do the same thing with a lot of her stuff so it evens out

'Feigned interest' ?
I'm pretty sure we just have the charisma of a Vampire or Slaanesh lord and our wives interest in our painted or assembled figurines is 110% genuine. 😀

HA! I just discovered a new way of including my wife in my hobby (a little) last night! I started picking up my models that were strewn everywhere in our library and sorting them into their boxes as well as "upcoming" projects, in an attempt to clean the room up for family that will be coming to visit us over the Christmas holidays (We have a sleeper sofa in that room). While I was cleaning, my wife asked me if there was anything she could do to help (not wanting to disrupt my method). I told her, "Well you could re-organize these paints, if you want." She lit up like a Christmas tree! She LOVED it! Organizing paints by color, accessibility, and type (Wash, Technical, etc.) She even went as far as to open each one and see which were hardened beyond use, which were low (she put stickers on their tops to indicate that they'll need replacign soon), and which had extra back-ups.
It was great because she felt involved in a huge part of my life, she was helping me do something that I needed to do but didn't ever want to spend my time on, she was making her house look better, and she also saw what I needed (paint-wise). She is very supportive and if she sees "Oh, hey! You need more Squig Orange!", she'll order me some more if I want it. It was really nice having her in there with me, involved with my hobby.

I've been working on a few Christmas presents for a couple of friends and I've also started an Ogre army with this Firebelly. I will slowly add a few Ogres to this group along the way. I'm starting off with 13 Ogres, Firebelly, 1 Maneater, Butcher, and Tyrant. I'm going to go for a "Frost Ogre" theme. All of these are works in progress. My friend's Wood Elf army has an Autumn theme. I've finished one of these Vargheists. Not too far off with the other two. 20 Skeletons that will go with GMW along with the Terrorgheist: Firebelly:

I hereby concede that I will not be able to complete this months pledge.....high from last month I pledged 2 models this month but fell short due to work/other commitments. I'm now away for the Christmas break with no paints in sight (although im sure I'll find a way to acquire a miniature or two) I managed to get a bit of wip done on my Woldwatcher/Golem thing but I think that's my month done.

My part painted pile has been slowly growing over the last two months. I think it's the plastic wood elf archers that are doing it! (that and the ridiculous hours I've been doing at work recently or more to the point the work being bought home to do after the wife and daughter go to bed). Blood bowl has also distracted me and i'm half way through repainting my Norse team (see more part painted things!). Anyway enough excuses, I did manage to finish this part of my mum's Christmas present.

Nice! always good to see LotR!
That's a really fun game; I used to play it with historical miniatures.
