That giant is going to be epic! Thanks, bud. It's been very to build him. As is I consider him done and now "all" I have left is to paint the sucker.

I've also been busy tinkering with another Nurgle Monstrosity. Currently I'm debating which head and position of it to give him. I'm leaning towards A2 but am not 100%. What do you think? Is there any other head that might fit better in your opinion?

Hmm, I think they are all too small for the body. If it has to be one of these, I'd choose B1.

It depends how the gap is filled. Of the pictures i like A2 best and think it could make a nice comical in Nurgle style model with a massive body and tiny head at the top.
You could even do some crazy three headed nurgle thrip with the extra gap space.
I think you chose wisely with the wooden club for the giant. Looks really nice.

Thanks for the input. I'll take it to heart in the building of the big Maggoth Lord-based monstrosity. For now however that project is put on hold for a while as I'm busy procrastinating the painting of my giant (which I've atleast started painting now!) by building myself a unit of 8 Spawns which I will use as Trolls. I'm currently more or less done with 5 of 'em. It's been a blast rolling them up using the rules found in the old Realm of Chaos-books. If anyone have some suggestions on how to represent the Rune of Nurgle-gift for the giant-headed one on the far right I'm all ears. I also bought a DnD Manticore-model for this project. However I' m thinking that it might make for a better Daemonic Mount than a Spawn.

You know there'll be trouble when those trolls roll into town! really awesome stuff.

Manticore would make a better mount than spawn for sure.

Finished four of my count-as troll Spawns: Had a blast rolling them up using the old rules found in the Realm of Chaos Books. They rolled the following gifts, first picture, from left to right: Snail-Guy: 1. Overgrown Body Part - Hand. 2. Rotting Flesh. 3. Moronic. 4. Breathes Fire. 5. Nurgling Familiar. 6. Eyestalks. 7. Long Neck. 8. Rune of Nurgle. Big Head-Greg: 1. Cloud of Flies. 2. Rapid Regeneration. 3. Beweaponed Extremities. 4. Overgrown Body Part - Head. 5. Moronic. 6. Rotting Flesh. 7. Rune of Nurgle. 8. Blood Substitution - Leeches or Maggots. 9. Horrible Stench. Fatty-tentacled Mess: Have unfortunately misplaced what he rolled, if I find it I'll update it. Edit:I think that it may have been the following. That being said I seem to have somewhat drifted away from the gift he received. Still like him though! 1. Prehensile Tail. 2. Rune of Nurgle. 3. Spits Acid. 4. Cloud of Flies. 5. Immensity. 6. Tentacles. 7. Biting Tongue. 8. Horns of Nurgle. 9. Brightly Pattern Skin. Squidward: 1. Horns of Nurgle. 2. Breathes Fire. 3. Long Spines. 4. Rune of Nurgle. 5. Huge Head. 6. Acid Excretion. 7. Manic Fighter. 8. Suckers. 9. Scaly Skin. 10. Zoological Mutation - Octopus. I'm planning on making 6 more so that I can field a total of 8 count-as trolls + two actual spawns.

Oh, and for fluff I consider squidward to be the eventual devolution into Spawndom of my shielded warriors' unit champion. I probably should have given them a similar paintjob and have the Spawn be swinging his make-pick but oh well. I guess I could always say that the Spawn hasn't been given the opportunity to take a proper mud-bathe in a while and that it lost the weapon someway back. Edit: Thought of something: Should I maybe add the mace-pick to his left hand? I have plenty of the bit laying around and it would explained why he has the fist closed.

Squidward Great conversion. No reason not to add the mace imo

I don't know, I would assume that his weapon use would evolve along with him. Maybe a back banner or something?

Thanks for the input. Am currently leaning towards adding the mace-pick so as to enhance the connection between the two models. Not a big fan of back banners allthough a big ol' oldhammeresque one is never wrong.

Made a unit of Dragon Ogres who can pull double duty as Daemon Princes if the dice gods wills it. I call them 'the Brood'. I've always thought that the carapace of the Rot Flies would make for a neat 'natural' form of Chaos Armour. Making it girdle centered made sense considering the long legs of the monstrosities.
